Tusker House at AK-Hidden Gem!

My very favorite counter service is Tusker House. Salmon rice and green beans, yummy!

Tusker House is out favorite counter service! We love it! The chicken sandwich is great. The chocolate cake can't be beat. It is consistently moist and delicious!

We ate there last Sept and it was great! My husband had the 1/2 rotisserie and I had the fried chicken sandwich. Yum! I wish I knew how to post a picture so you could see our tray

Where exactly is Tusker House located at in AK? The only place I've ever eaten there was Donald's Breakfastosaurus.

While I like the atmosphere around Tusker House. I had the worst meal there. I had the Turkey wrap with chowder. It was so bland and the chowder was cold. With these reviews I may take another chance at it this time but not the same meal as I had before.

My DH and I loved Tusker House also. We ate there for lunch. It was rather busy and crowded and hard to find a place to sit! ARG! But we did manage to find a corner! We both got these chicken sandwiches which were HUGE! The fries are steak fries (fat, yummy) but my DH didn't like! Chocolate cake was to DIE for! Again - huge & DH helped me eat. He got the carrot cake which he liked but the chocolate cake (about 3/4 layers) was delish!

Next trip, we will try either the Flame Tree or Pizzafari -- Tusker House is hard to beat but I gotta try some different places!!!

I love their food, we ate there twice on our last trip. My fav was the wrap, corn chowder and cheesecake for dessert!!!!

Our party of 12 dined there for the billionth time in January. Everything was fabulous except the cheesecake. All who ordered it thought it was gross. Those of us who ordered the chocolate cake thought we hit the jackpot!

I just wish they served some real African food! Or at least a little Indian food.

Oh well.

Do they at least have Tusker beer there? I didn't check. I am not a beer drinker, but at least some African beer would make it feel more authentic.

BTW: I grew up in Africa (Kenya).
