Tusker House and Yak and Yeti

Anyone heard anything on these two places.

Are they taking reservations?
When are they going to open?

Going next month and would like to try one of them maybe.

The Tusker House is taking ressies. I actually have a ressie for Christmas eve (breakfast) and Christmas day (dinner). No chracters at dinner though. They were one of the few places with openings still on Christmas day. Good luck.

I called the other day and they said that at this time they are not taking reservations for it. We'll see if that changes.

The breakfast at Tusker house is Donald's Safari Breakfast. I have gone to Donald's old character breakfast in animal kingdom many times before and have always enjoyed it. Not as croweded as other, characters are just as good, as is the food. They are taking ADRs for this now, i made one for the morning of Dec. 28 just last week.

I just got off the phone with Dining and was told Tusker House has a firm 180 day reservation rule (although I made all my other dining ressies using the 180 + 10 day rule.... so not sure how accurate this really is).

They also said Tusker House for dinner is NOT buffet -- did anyone else hear this? I thought TH was changing to buffet, characters for lunch and no characters for dinner.

I could not make any ressies for Yak and Yeti -- no time given as to when they would accept ADRs.

I made reservations in September for Tusker House. Only breakfast is supposed to have characters. There is a menu floating around here somewhere and according to that, [and everything else I've heard] dinner IS a buffet. Sounds like you spoke to a CM who didn't know very much!

Yup menu out for Tusker House and it is Buffet, I have reservations for there next week for lunch. the new menu shows both lunch and dinner essentially the same. Characters for breakfast only.

I just called today and Yak and Yeti is not taking ADRs. I was told by the CM that they are "testing" it and it would be open to the public soon.
