Tusker House 8:20 ADR too late?

I'm re-thinking my planning strategy for our first day at AK. I have a 10:15 Tusker House ADR, but now I'm wondering if my DS5 will really want to stop and eat breakfast (even with Donald, Mickey and co) after only an hour in the park. The only pre opening ADR available is 8:20, I'm wondering if we will be done around 9:00 to get on KS without much of a line and then head over to EE for the same. I have FP+ for Mickey M+G, Kali, and Dinosaur (this is the ride DS talks about the most after seeing the promo dvd, so I figured I should be safe rather than sorry with a FP+)
I've never been to AK, in fact it's been 9 years since I've been to WDW, so any advice is appreciated!
Thank you!

Last year it took us around 1h15min from entry and pictures with Donald until we were out. We had 8:30 reservation, but luckily the park was open at 7am! We did the safari by 7:30.
We were July 24th and the crowds were kind of high, however we did Dinosaur with 25-30 min wait. Not too bad. So maybe you can get your FP+ for KS instead of Dino and enjoy your breakfast. :thumbsup2
I'll tell you though, that I am doing 8:15 TH this year and then heading to the Safari without FP+. So I am kind of in your shoes, but crowds should be lower that in mid-June. I hope I can ride KS with less than 30 min wait.

We have done both times and I'd have to say the 1015 will be awesome! We rushed to the park to enjoy a few early rides and just when that rush was over it hit everyone just how hungry we were and we enjoyed the break, plus that's a good time to experience breakfast and lunch items!

Last summer we had an 8:05 AM at Tusker and just as DH was returning from the restroom at 8:45 we looked out the window and tons of people were pouring in. They opened the gates early as they do at times and we were hustling and had many people in front of us. I wouldn't do an 8:05 again b/c too rushed and 8:20 no way. Too much money for 25 minute breakfast if you are looking to beat the crowds.

I would stick with the 10:15 ADR. You can hit your highlights and then relax for a mid-morning breakfast without worrying whether you are going to make it to KS/EE without having to wait in a less than desirable SB line. We do mid-morning breakfast/brunch at Epcot for this reason. Its nice to get TT and Soarin' under our belt at least once and then take a break from the heat for a good meal. Very early ADR's are not my cup of tea. Besides getting into the park prior to opening, that is the only benefit for me as we are still eating when the park opens and the people start to pour in :worried: I definitely didn't relax when at our HS H&V 8 am ADR when FP- was around and at park opening I had to leave the table and dash for TSMM for a FP so that we could ride at a decent time. Not my idea of a good time.
