Anyone stay in a vacation rental home in Tuscan Ridge? Can you tell me where exactly that is and how far is it from WDW? We have stayed in the Splendid China area before and I am wondering how Tuscan Ridge compares as far as distance and driving convenience.

Thanks in advance!

Hi..Tuscan Ridge is much farther than the homes by FGardens..It is out on hwy 27 and requires a long drive down 192 that you do not have from FG.

I have been coming to Disney for many many years and the drive down 192 used to be a breeze. But they have added many NEEDED lights as more development has go on and now traffic can get backed up by the lights...I would stick with FG area if you want to save 10-15 minutes on your trips...Good Luck...Ted

Thanks tednvon! That is excellent advice.

We have a 4 y.o. who will be 5 1/2 if we go to WDW next spring, and the shorter the drive, the better for him and the rest of us.

We'll keep looking in the Splendid China area.

Thanks again!

We stayed at Regal Palms in January/February, which is also off of Rt 27 and we timed our trips to Disney in the morning hours and it only took us 15-20 mins tops. The return trip was about the same. In the past we have stayed off of Lindfields Ave on 192 past Formosa Gardens and it took us about 10-15min. I also have a 5 year old and the time it took us to get to Disney in the mornings was a nice time to help her get ready for the day...have a snack, etc.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay off of Rt 27 again, especially since the price of many of those houses/condos a bit farther from WDW is somewhat cheaper.

onlyonefor me - Thanks for your input!

Yes, there are some really nice houses out there that are really reasonable. I'll have to weigh the cost vs. time factor and decide.

Thanks again!
