Turtle Talk Lines Are Getting Crazy

We saved Turtle Talk for the a night that Epcot had EMH and we still had to wait in a line. It was well worth it though. The kids LOVED it!

Here's my tip, don't try to do Turtle Talk during evening emh, it was a zoo. We were there the first week of March. As a matter of fact the worst crowds we saw all week were the night we stayed in Epcot for emh. Never got to see Crush, ended up doing HISTA.

We went two weeks after Easter in 2005 and the lines for Turtle Talk weren't so bad. I don't remember the waiting area backing all the way up to the escalators. But this year (also 2 weeks post Easter) the lines were crazy. I was just really surprised by the fact that the room had three showings worth of back-up during a day that wasn't really that crowded for anything else.

I'm wondering if they'll make it a fastpass attraction soon.

I was sorry that we had to miss it, but we saved it for last in the day, mistakingly thinking that Soarin' and Test Track would have the longest waits.

I think they should make this a FP attraction.

What is HISTA?

Honey I Shrunk the Audience, it is a 3-d movie in Epcot, in the Imagination Pavillion.

We went 2/27 and the queue was unbelieveble! There was only a small space left to access the rest of Sea Base Alpha, people were sprawled around all over.
Needless to say, we didn't see it.

I am hoping the wait improves for our next trip in December, or at least the queue is more organized.
Can't wait to see the improvements and additions they are putting in because last time we went in to the Living Seas was in 2002 and we weren't very impressed.

I cannot picture Fast Pass working at this attraction. With such a small capacity to begin with, they would not be able to distribute a lot of fast passes, which means the fast passes would be gone very early in the day. Which will just make the stand by line longer to let those few fast pass people in. I also don't think they have the space to make more than one theater, even though this is a better solution than getting fast pass.

I have been to Epcot several times over the last few months and have always gone and waited for TT. Even though the line looks long, and it has always taken up the whole lobby, the most I have waited was 30 minutes (even though they told us it was about an hour). 30-45 minutes is not a bad wait, especially for such a cute show.

Our wait was totally worth it. Crush was incredibly funny. When Crush asked what kind of food do humans eat- an adult voiced yelled out "TURTLES"!. Crush's eyes bugged out- he went over to the microphone, tapped on it, and said "Security, row 3, I repeat security, row 3." Then he reminded us that "fish are friends, not food!" Something I found very, very amuzing.

We also waited in line at the end of March. We waited through two shows but it really wasn't that bad because of the way the line is set up. Because the line is in the lobby and "open" (meaning just roped off) our kids spent most of the time wandering around the surrounding area which has pretty cool fish and manatees (as well as "Bruce" to climb in). Since the line doesn't move while the show is going on, the kids (and either me or my husband) could easily slide in and out. Also, we ended up eating our lunch in the line. The area is carpeted so the kids can sit down (and adults if so inclined). Turtle Talk was the longest line we stood in but because of the way it is configured, it wasn't that painful. That of course was until one of my children (the wandering one) almost didn't get back back it was our time to go into the theatre!

Crush is so funny here! And it is one of the rare times I left something feeling like I could ask, "How'd they do that?" (I read a lot about imagineering and figure things out a lot since I want to work for them some day). It seemed so incredible to me.
When my bf and I were there, Crush started talking to a little boy that he thoguht was a little girl... He was quite embarrassed but covered it up pretty well. I felt pretty bad for the little boy. I bet he got a haircut after that ...

The word has definitely gotten out on Turtle Talk!

I heard this ahead of time, so we got to Epcot at 9:10, headed straight to Soarin and grabbed and FP, then we went right to the Living Seas, the 1st TT show was at 10am and there was already a line forming at 9:40am....we got in line at 9:45am and there was about 30-40 people ahead of us. We got into the 1st show though. When we went back to the Living Seas at about 12:30 to look at the Dolphins the TT line was OUTRAGEOUS!

So the key to doing TT is to get there EARLY, grab a Soarin' or Test Track FP (Soarin is closer to Living Seas though) and be in line 15 to 30 minutes before the 1st TT show of the day and you'll be fine....after that who knows what kind of line you'll find!

This is my favorite part of the show, you never know what is going to happen! Crush came out wearing a bikini and asked this little boy what it was, and the little boy shouted "the girls wear it to cover their big chesty things!" It was hilarious, all the adults were laughing. I don't think the little boy realized he was such a comedian!

WaltD4Me, your idea is the way to go. this way you have a fastpass for an attraction that is even more popular!

I thought that you would have enought time to grab a FP for Soarin, ride Soarin, then quickly proceed to TT and you should be able to make the first show. You just grabbed a FP for Soarin and did not ride it? Thanks.

We are also looking forward to TT this year since it was closed last fall. However, we will not wait on a long line. Does the line get any better in the late afternoon around 4:00 p.m?

We were at TT twice last week. The first time we attended the first showing of the day which was not very crowded, but the show we saw later in the day was definitely crowded.

It's worth every minute of it! They hit the nail on the head when finding a show to keep the younger crowd entertained, as well as the adults too.

All of the small kids are asked to come and sit up front so they'll have no problems seeing Crush. There was a mom who took it upon herself to sit in that area and then put her daughter on her lap. The CM kindly asked her to let her daughter sit there but asked the mom to please sit just off to the side so she wouldn't block anyone else's view. She got really mad, and told him off. She did eventually sit to the side. She continued to make comments the whole time. Her daughter wasn't even "really little", looked like 3-4 years.
