Turtle Cay in VA

We justed booked a trip through DVC for Turtle Cay in VA Beach. Has anyone stayed there?

WE stayed at sister property next door and had access to TC pools, etc. I love TC. The pool area is very nice--2 pools, 2 hot tubs, nice lava rocks/Hawaiian landscape--one pool is only 2-4 feet of water with zero entry--great for kids and just hanging out in water if you are hot.
You cross a very small street to the beach--the location is ideal--you are at the end of the boardwalk, so you can rent bikes, roller blade, etc., but since this is the very end, there are not a lot of people hanging out and whizzing by.
It is a fairly new property (10 years or so), so everything should still be in good shape. Have Fun. Elaine

When are you going I was thinking about Virgina Beach was it hard to get the exchange and how many points was it.

My wife and I stayed ther a couple of years ago as a "complimentary weekend" and tour. The builing is nice enough (I won't call it a resort as WDW is a resort) but we were not overly impressed. When I want a beach vacation I want on the beach not across the street. That "little" street you have to cross is Atlantic Ave., the main drag for VA Beach. The building is at the lower end of VA Beach which is higher rent and a little less crowded however. Their sales people were very pushy and could not believe we had no interest in becoming owners. After 2 hours of explaining we had other vacation options, DVC and my parents own vacation homes at Wintergreen Resort and Myrtle Beach (on the beach) that we can use at no cost he had the nerve to ask " Then why did you accept our complimentary weekend?". I replied "You offered it with no questions or qualifications". At that point he left mumbling to himself so we took that as our cue to leave also. So just be warned you may get pressured by sales teams to purchase in their prperty.

We are staying the second week in June. They said it was a little late when I made the reservations, at the end of January. I was getting a little nervous, but before I knew it we had our reservations in the mail. The DVC book said it would be 160 points but it was only 144.
