Turning in old tickets question??

We are going to be getting 7 day park hopper passes and we have 2 days left on old 4 day passes. Does anyone know if it's worth it to turn them in? Or should I just keep them for a future visit? There isn't much price difference between a 5 day hopper and a 7 day hopper so it seems to be a big waste of two days if I was to use the old ones along with a 5 day hopper. Anyone know how much credit I would get toward the new ones if I was to turn in the old ones?

If you can see a time in the future when you'll be visiting and only have one or two days for the parks, then it does make sense to save the 2 days left for that trip. The way expiring MYW tickets are priced, it really doesn't make sense using non-expiring days to make up the difference between a 5 day ticket and a 7 day vacation.

I talked to a CM at guest services in the Marketplace and he said that the trade in value of the tickets is awful. He gave the example of a man wanting to trade in his hopper ticket that he bought several years ago and apply the value of it to his new ticket. The value of the hopper ticket was 1 penny. The CM said that you are better off using the tickets and DO NOT trade them in because in fact they do depreciate. Needless to say, I didn't trade ours in. They don't expire so on the year we don't have an AP we'll use them.
