Hi ---

The website says turndown service is available at BWI -- does anyone know if it is free or if there is a charge? (We would leave a tip separately, of course.) What does it involve besides folding down the covers? Just wondering if my family would like that -- at home, everybody turns down their own covers!

Thanks!

No extra charge at this time. They pull back the covers, put the pillows up, empty the trash, take used towels and replace with clean, pull the curtains, leave saltwater taffee by the pillows and sometimes turn on the radio. It is nice to return to this IF you have used the room in the afternoon for swimming, naps, etc. If you have been gone all day you won't even notice the difference from the morning cleaning because you will not have seen what they did in the first place.

We may try this for the first time next month. When we are leaving for the afternoon/dinner, would we just call the front desk to request it?

If you stay on the "club level" they'll do it without being asked.

I don't know if you can request it or not for other rooms.

If you can't, you can always call housekeeping for some fresh towels. :)

Don't call the front desk, use the button for "housekeeping". It seems like the messages don't always get through if you send them to the front desk first.

I knew it was too good to be true! LOL Were booked in a standard room. Guess we will be truning our own covers down each night.

Although I've never stayed at BWI, I have stayed at other deluxes. Turndown was available for all levels at the deluxes. Just call the Housekeeping number and request turndown service for the length of your stay. This little service is one of the reasons I really enjoy deluxes. It's nice to return to your room and have it "spruced up" a bit after an evening out.
