Turn Down Service

We go to Disney 2-3 times a year, always stay deluxe and I never knew you could request TDS. We have stayed Club level and thought it was only available there. I am super excited now. I love to come back to the room and have my bed turned down. Do I ask before we get there or one we are there and who do we ask?

Count me in as someone who loves it! I think it's nice to come back to your room at night and everything is ready for you for bed. The best part is getting new towels too since we sometimes take showers at night after being all sweaty from the parks.

Who do you request it from? The front desk? Call housekeeping from your room? Add it to your reservation requests? I've only had it at GF in a regular room and I think at the Swan or dolphin a while back. We're staying at the contemporary next so it would be great to have!

Did you have to request it each day, or did you just request it for your whole trip at check-in?

I usually call Housekeeping once I'm in the room later on in the day and request it for my length of stay.

I want it, not because I need someone to turn down my sheets, but because I want fresh towels to use in the morning.

If we are there during Christmas or when we know we aren't going to use the pool then I don't need or request it.

I never really knew it was included with all Deluxe stays. But with two trips under our belt at a Deluxe, I must say I wouldn't have requested it for myself even if I had known. But that's just me.

Further, the more services offered by the resort, the more people they employee and that's a win/win for everyone.

As well as any luxury resort outside of Disney. I will leave a note requesting extra towels, water, toiletries, etc if we need them.

I find it interesting that people find it "creepy" Why? Do you also find housekeeping creepy? What is the difference.

I don't find housekeeping "creepy" but I do put my DND sign out because I don't really want some stranger poking around in my room and wiping down where I brush my teeth while wearing the same gloves she was wearing when she cleaned someone's toilet.

Someone mentioned TDS on a cruise. There I really love it! But when I go on a cruise, the cabin stewards come and introduce themselves to me on my first day and I often see them when returning to my cabin, and they say "hi" to me. And I get an opportunity to make special requests. At Disney, and other hotels, I usually don't see or meet the housekeepers.

Thanks,
Im going to request it when we are at the Contemporary! I love to be pampered if only a few days a year, as a single mother and nurse I'm always doing for others. Lazy is not any part of who I am.
