Who has been there, where did you stay, and can it be a "budget" destination?

Stunning water. Amazing. Great snorkeling.

Ocean Club West. Nice Facilities.

We went without kids. Excellent food.

It wasn't cheap. ;)

the Sands would be nice too.

beaches is popular with families but I didn't like their stretch of beach at the time. Tides change all the time though.

Enjoy.

Have taken the kids to the Beaches resort twice. Definetly one of the best places we have been.

Definetly not budget.

How expensive is not cheap?

Afriend went said every thing expensive id love to know to it looks beautiful.

and not cheap. And they have the euro don't they?

Even worse with the dollar to euro exchange.

There's a Club Med there I think. Might be cheapest as it's an AI

Amazing island but def not cheap. We stayed at ocean club west twice about ten years ago. Once without kids in a studio room and once with kids in a one bedroom condo. I believe for the four of us it was $5-6K for 7 nights (including airfare, food, etc.). Wish we could drive there :upsidedow

It is a very quiet island. Not much to do but the beach is beautiful. Hope to make it back someday......

Club Med is probably the cheapest.

The only time I have seen Turks and Caicos cheap/budget was right after 9/11. We went to Beaches for our 5th anniversary and it was really nice. At my travel agency Beaches was at least $8,000 for 7 nights all inclusive for a family of 4 and that was years ago (around 2003.)

It's very expensive because everything has to be flown in. We spent time at Grand Turk at a B&B and the owner said they have to pay freight and duty on everything that comes to the islands.
