turkey time how long

making a turkey today it 10 pounds. how lomg do icook it for? is it 30 minutes for every pound

I usually cook mine in a cooking bag so its quicker than just in a roasting pan ( just not as brown and crispy) and I think it usually takes about 3 hours. Anymore I just get a turkey breast and cook it all day in the crockpot. (did I mention I am a little lazy sometimes???) good luck, I love turkey anytime, but my family doesn't really like it so we don't have it very often.
