Come on folks, wheres your sense of adventure??!!!

I'm gonna try one when i go anyway.

Given the French palate, I bet there is horse on the menu somewhere! Maybe in the hot dogs :scared1:

Steve

They have to state if the meat contains horse now, not like years ago when they could serve it up as something else

We had a turkey leg (shared it) at Blizzard Beach and quite enjoyed it. Now a horse leg sounds a bit more of a meal :rotfl2:

Not tried horse yet, no objection to it, but my local Tesco doesn't stock it. Tried alligator, ostrich and bunny (quite like that) out of supermarkets.

They sell turkey legs at Blizzard Beach?! Haha wow I've never noticed that before!! Last thing I'd wanna do is be chomping on a turkey leg before or after summit plummet!! popcorn::

We got them at a little booth thing and they also had funnel cakes which sounded more interesting than they looked! We had a BBQ flavoured leg

We also bought one of these all-day juice cup things. We'd found a quiet spot and left our stuff there - you couldn't see it from the main paths. When we came back on one occasion our stuff had been disturbed and the drink was missing along with some food (not the turkey leg!). We found the missing stuff in a bush - looks like some kids had grabbed them then panicked and threw them away. There was still juice in the cup but I emptied it and gave it a good clean - you never know!

we'd eaten it by then. It's one of these things, you try it once, you'll probably never eat it again! I know I wouldn't! Even this smiley is trying one: :woohoo:

No finer sight than seeing a chubby little kid munching on a 3 foot long greasy turkey leg, one of the highlights of my holiday to Florida a few years ago.

But are they available in Paris?

Has anybody ever tried them?

They look amazing dont they!!

Yes they are available in a small quick service place in Frontierland, next to Lucky Nugget Saloon.
They are a tad dry there. But still yummie :)

Whilst not something that appeals to me, I'm interested to know if they are the same size as the ones in the US parks, or whether they have been "downsized" to suit European preferences.

Ive generally noticed that portion sizes in DLP are smaller than those in the US parks, so would guess that the turkey legs will be similarly small :thumbsup2

Bearing in mind it's what it says on the tin, it's an actual leg from a turkey - not reconstituted meat like a kiev or satay, then I imagine they'd be much the same size. Unless they are killed earlier in Europe making them smaller or it's a different breed, I'm no turkey expert but I'd imagine there is little variation. Mind you, have you seen the size of these American mice? There was one the size of me the last time I was there...

I could be wrong though, it has happened once before I think....:rotfl2: DW is never wrong :worship:

Just found this discussion after I posted - makes them even less appealing!

From the link I posted, they're probably not injecting them with as much fluid as they do in the US!
