Turkey leg question

1) Disney sells about 1.5 MILLION turkey legs every year!
2) That is about 7 turkey legs for every man-woman-child in Orlando.
3) Each of these monstrous bird legs weighs in at 1.5 pounds
4) They supposedly come from 40-50 pound turkeys!
5) About 1,092 calories per leg.
6) Also, about a days worth of fat and two days worth of sodium per leg.
7) Recipe
. . . take one leg
. . . inject salt brine
. . . smoke at 225º for 4 hrs.

Sounds like it is nothing short of awesome to me :)

They are definately not fried...like the pp said, they are smoked.
My experience..(and I have tried them twice because I felt like I should love them:confused3)...they taste like ham...and when you bite into them there seems to be a lot of salt water in them. Me no likey...:confused3

Agree, they taste and look more like ham. They are pinkish. Don't expect the turkey leg you eat at Thanksgiving dinner. More like your Easter ham!!!:goodvibes
They gross me out. My nephew ate one once and it was all over him. Can't get that pic out of my head!
