I'm taking my parents for free dining and my mom loves the Turkey Legs. I've never done this but I'm sure someone out there has...question is. Can the Turkey Legs be a counter service meal? If so do all the same rules apply? Would she get a side of something to go with the leg....a dessert...and a drink? If you've done this this I'd like to know where. Thanks in advance. :goodvibes

You can use a CS entitlement for a Turkey Leg. It comes with a bag of chips and a drink.

I haven't heard of dessert other than one instance that a little boy was given one with pixie dust.

(I don't think that there are usually ice cream carts with the Turkey Legs)

It might depend on where you are. In DHS, the Toluca Turkey Legs place allows you to get a turkey leg as a CS meal, with a dessert, I think.

In Epcot, I was not able to use the DDP for a turkey leg at the American pavilion or at the place in Future World.

I am not sure about AK or MK, but I think the MK stand did allow it as a CS meal.

Yeah...I saw some Turkey Legs over at DHS in the places where they sold other food with FF. I was thinking they would do it all as a meal. I hope so. She loves those things. DD loves 'em too. :rotfl2:

At AK we were not allowed to use DDP (snack or CS) for a Turkey Leg at one of the carts.

At the stand in front of the American pavillion in Epcot, I was able to use 1 CS for a tukey leg, drink and a frozen lemonade (as dessert).

I was able to do the same thing at Blizzard Beach.

That sounds like a good combo. She'd like that.

Oh, I am glad to hear that! :thumbsup2 They would not let me do that 2 years ago, so I never tried again.

The Launching Pad in Tomorrowland (MK), allowed me to have 1 turkey leg, 1 bag chips and 1 frozen drink as a counter service credit (August 2008) YUMMY!!!!!

I have no idea how they rang it up, but I do know that since the leg with chips is not a combo meal, there is no choice of leg and chips plus drink and dessert.

My guess it that the leg is the entree, the drink is the drink and the chips were the "dessert."

I was not offered the choice to take the leg, stuffed pretzel and frozen drink...I might have enjoyed the pretzel more, but it was not offered, and I wanted the turkey leg too much to argue about the "dessert" :)
