Our family is all out-of-state and Thanksgiving is just the four of us at home. At first, that seemed kind of strange but now we are used to it and enjoy the holiday. We watch the Macy's parade, pig out on turkey and the trimmings, play some board games, and then pop in a movie. It's a nice and relaxing day!

On the day after Thanksgiving, I'm out there celebrating Black Friday! :teeth:

Not a whole lot of family here for this holiday so I'll put the turkey in the oven, leave my dad to watch over it, go to the Macy's Day Parade and come and fix all the trimmings. The kids should have a blast!

I am cooking on Wednesday for my family. My dad is a fire chief and on duty and my sister a flight attendant is flying on Thanksgiving. Then on Thanksgiving we go to MIL's.

I'm going to the feast, but bringing dessert (to both of them)...as is my custom. :)

This year for Thanksgiving I'm going to let LeCellier do the cooking. :teeth: I'm thinking outside of the box this year since we will be at WDW. Steak it is.

We don't have any close family either, so it is usually just us 4. I don't think we have invited anyone this year. We might eat out.

I have no idea. DH's family never plan anything in advance, drives me NUTS. I don't want to go to my sister's house because she isn't a very good cook, never has enough food and has never heard of a spice so all the food is really bland. We have never really gone anywhere for Thanksgiving because we have lived away from family. This year we are near everyone so who knows. I would prefer to have something here but like I said, DH's family never plans anything so who knows where it will be held.

I'll be cooking. I prefer to cook, actually. Last year we went to the in-laws and it nearly killed me to have nothing to do with dinner!

This year, for a change, I'm going to the feast

I'm hosting for 27 people, and that's just immediate family!

We usually go through two turkeys, two hams, twenty pounds of potatoes, twenty pounds of carrots, God only knows how much corn, peas and squash. My grandmother does regular stuffing and oyster stuffing (and tons of it!). One aunt makes an apple pie, a blueberry pie, a pumpkin pie and a Boston cream pie. Everyone else brings some sort of dessert. Everyone brings home leftovers and everyone leaves stuffed. It's a great day!

We're traveling to my MIL's but she doesn't like to cook. She has made reservations for all of us to eat at the Yacht Club for dinner. Oh well....no dishes to help with after dinner. That's a PLUS!!!

I will be eating at Raglan Road this year, but I will cook the weekend before. I just thought I was getting out of it. I forgot about the inlaws....

DH and I are British, so the meaning is a little hazy to us, however as DS is an all American boy it's important that we try our hardest to celebrate! So with just us in US, it'll be me cooking, with 2 other guests, 3 if the cat does his usual table top stroll....

I'm not cooking the turkey. I'm just bring the salad and augratin potato. It's going to be at my sister's house.

We own a condo in the panhandle of Florida, so we are traveling down there for Thanksgiving. It will be our immediate family (5 of us) and then my grandpa, aunt and cousin are driving down as well to meet us. My sister lives in Orlando and she is going to try to drive up to meet us! So we will have at least 8 people, maybe 9.

We make reservatios at a local restaurant and let someone else deal with the cooking. At least I don't have to deal with leftovers that way. I can't stand eating leftovers!
