Turkey Day Gang 2009

Sherri-

Thank you for the adorable picture!! Mason will love it!! Congrats on your new grandson!! :thumbsup2

Lisa

Chuck/Lisa--turns out we are right down the hall from you guys per the FE List. Happy B-day from our Mason (5) to yours! Our Mason has enjoyed the fun graphics with his name in them!

Okay, I added my peeps to the list--What is the difference between this list and the blog list? I just want to make sure I get enough goodies!:yay:

The one on google docs is organized by deck, color coded for girls and boys, has first names added.

They should both be the same list number wise.

The google doc one in theory has been checked and edited by all.

I brought that up a while ago. I think we had three families interested? I haven't had a chance to post about it lately.

We're in on that. I have GS patches from events we've done that were extra that would be fun to swap. A few of them I had the fun of designing. And I am still going to run by the boy scout store to pick up the council strip patches and OA flaps. Its on my to-do list. I'm told by someone who should know, that one of them is the oldest still in use in the country.

By contrast it is 93 here this afternoon...and sunny.

Chuck:cool1:

Remind me to give you a swift kick in the shins for that painful comment when I see you! Not that I'm feeling violent or anything after being cooped up inside for the last 2 days with 3 kids a cat that won't stop meowing because she hit 16lbs and the vet put her on a diet she is VERY unhappy about and a dog that hates to go out in the rain....

No school here on friday so I took the day off work. We've been going through clothes and putting some away and putting some (actually waaaay too many) aside for the cruise. We're going to need bigger suitcases. AND I finally ordered one of our FE gifts. I'm way excited about it. I really hope no one else came up with the same idea.

Sherri - He is Gorgeous! And this means we can get together next weekend for the Marylander's that are interested.:yay: DD's swim meet is at 5:15 in the afternoon. That is so bizarre to me, it seems very late. So anytime before that is great just let us know. Someone else had soccer, I think.

LOVE the shirt design. It looks great! I really like the black print too. It does look sharper.

And good luck with the new job Karen. Rest up. I was new 4 months ago and the first week is extra exhausting because everything is so new. But it settles down quickly - thank goodness.

Dh just took the kids out pumpkin shopping in the pouring rain and mud while I ran and did the other returns/errands/oil change/dry cleaning pick up. They came home with about 15 pumpkins. I was like:scared1::scared1::scared1: and he goes - its supposed to rain tomorrow too....:rotfl: He can be pretty smart some times, I have to admit.

Who has kids that are still costume age? I'm so sad dd12 will not commit to a costume this year.:sad1: She's getting older, I guess. DD5 will be a Virginia Tech cheerleader at school and Sleeping Beauty at night. DS9 is going to be a skeleton. He made his own mask and its really good. I know I'm biased, but I still think its good.

Count me in on the margaritas but I like frozen with sugar on the rim. Only 35 days for us. Can't wait. Is anyone else taking the Auto Train from Lorton VA?

Oh shoot Sherri - that's MY dd5 that has soccer Saturday! That's from 9-10. So any time from 10:30-4 will work for the MD get together. But maybe Jenimant had soccer too? Please post and let us know Jen.

Does anyone know- is there a Disney store in the Columbia, MD Mall still?

And Hey - I'm getting close to 100 posts.

Hi everyone!

The T-shirt design is awesome (my daughter's words!)!!

Speaking of my daughter, if anyone has kids who haven't recently posted on the kids' thread, my daughter, Emma, age 9, has posted. She's ANXIOUSLY awaiting meeting new friends and would love to correspond to some others!!

Thanks!

I love the t-shirt design and color!!!!:cool1::thumbsup2

I got us a ressie for the Country Inn and Suites right near the port for the night before. So that means I may be there even earlier since I will be that close!!!:lmao:

Bring on any drink that is mostly made up of rum!!!!:laughing::woohoo:

Charlie

We stayed there on our last cruise. The shuttle driver was wonderful. He dropped us off at Fishlips for dinner. Based on the decor, I wasn't expecting much, but it was FABULOUS! Best meal of our entire trip + live entertainment!

Paula -- I'm sending you a PM. How about Noon in Columbia. Yes, there is still a Disney store in Columbia Mall. It's a nice one too, however, last time I was there I think they're getting a little "heavy" on the princess stuff and not enough stuff for boys. Also, didn't have much for adults either. But, as usual, I walked out with a Disney shopping bag. I don't think I ever leave that store empty-handed.

Sounds good! We also have CSP's and OA flaps, and a combination GS/BS patch to trade. Are there just three of us in the trade?

How about we schedule Bunco from 3-4 pm on Monday, and then trade patches immediately afterwards?

We will participate if someone tells me what to do. I can run by the council store and pick up some patches. The only swap I have ever done was not patches...it was little items you made to swap with others. But my duaghter is a daisy and all about patches right now.

So we have started making our FE goodie bags. We have completed one delivery worth of bags and we sorted out other deliveries. But at age 5 making one set of bags and tags is enough.

But that is OK I think we are farther ahead then we have ever been on FE bag making. Go us

And speaking of FE Lists I have gone in and rearranged everything so the decks go lowest number room to highest number room and I have fixed all the colors. Charlie I have no idea why your name keeps changing to red. But you are orange again.

Ahhh...nothing like a new job to make you go shopping! Believe it or not, DH went shopping with me all day yesterday (I was very impressed!) and he didn't complain once when I made him go get me different sizes of things!

It's odd...at the University I wore some suits and stuff...but a lot of the time I could wear jeans (particularly in the summer)! So, yesterday it was off to the mall where I got some nice sweater sets, a couple of new jackets to wear with slacks. My biggest frustration was with blouses. What's the deal with all the 3/4 length sleeves? Sorry, but if you are short, they make you look shorter (and the 3/4 length sleeves don't necessarily hit me at 3/4 length!).

Ah well.

Karen

I just realized we have a spa visit scheduled monday at 3. I'll try to reschedule.

So I'm not the only one! can't stand 3/4 length.

No one needs to kick Chuck :lmao: The outdoor heater has been turned off and the sweatershirts have come out.

I am on my way to EPCOT Food and Wine Festival....it is our annual ladies day out...yummy food (that is way over priced) here I come!!!

Just sent you a PM. Gillian does have soccer but not sure when. At least some of us will be able to make it. Thanks for letting me know.

Hi everyone!! We are officially finished celebrating Mason's 10th birthday!! We just returned from a sleepover at the Westin hotel on Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Mason and 3 first cousins (total of 4 boys ages 8-13) shared a room. Chuck and I had a connecting room. So much better than hosting at home!!

Yesterday the boys were able to swim in the pool and the ocean...this morning...it was sweatshirt weather by Florida standards!! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Lisa

True it may only be about 70 today...fall has finally arrived...for a day or so...by tuesday it should be 85 again...

Michelle - thought I saw a post saying you were not in 5122/24, but FE list says you are,,,,

Chuck:cool1:

No! It was funny though...Steve asked if the designers were trying to conserve material or if they just thought everyone had abnormally short arms! The sales lady told him that no, it was the latest fashion trend...and I told her it was yet another that I would be skipping (along with the grunge look, bell bottoms from the 70s:scared1: that some idiot brought back again....:scared1: jeans that barely cover your rear end and "Daisy Duke" shorts!)

Guess I'm just gonna have to keep Lands End in business on blouses!

I have a new tiger cub and I am not sure if he can trade but would like to it possible. We are in the Mid America council.
