[Pixie Dust for Me!]

I barely resisted by the Gypsy. I have the original Cricut and Design Studio...and will be upgrading to the Expression at Christmas (if Steve EVER picks up on the not so subtle hints I've been dropping)! I'd love to see how your Gypsy works. I've been reading good and not so good things about it on another board I'm on.

To the newbies, WELCOME! Glad you found us. I'm Karen and I'm sailing with my DH (Steve) and my DS (Andrew -- he's 11). Some of us were together in '07 and some even before that.

I'm the lady doing the t-shirts and we are drawing near on the deadline for ordering. Lisa, I think you are leaving first....when are you leaving? By my count we have 55 days until the cruise! My plan was to have the t-shirts in hand by late October and get them out via USPS flat rate boxes to everyone by November 5 -- does that work for everyone?

OK --need some Florida Help here----

need the cheapest place to buy groceries and alcohol in the Orlando area - we are staying at the Star Island Resort & Club on 5000 Avenue of the Stars
Kissimmee , Florida , 34746 --

I will need a place to get food (of course) as well as all kinds of personals (like shave cream/pepto and so on ) and then the closest and cheapest Liquor store to that area...here in NH we have NH State Liquor Stores so it is not overly bad - but I know other states do things wayyyyy diff!!

You are literally going to be right around the corner from a Sam's Club, Target, Publix, and Walmart (Walmart is little further).

Publix or Walmart would probably be the best for some of the food, but if you have a Sam's Club membership, they might be good as well.

You won't miss the Sam's Club and Target. They are RIGHT off of Avenue of the Stars.

Pillow and Lisa - The gypsy is a handheld design studio device for the cricut machine. The cricut is an electronical personal die-cutting machine. It is used for scrapbooking, card making, vinyl lettering, fabric, etc...

I asked my husband tonight if he would wear a pirate costume for me for pirate night and he said...... YES! Now off to find one just right for him.....Not too over the top, but not understated either. Hmmmm....

Anyone else?

They actually all sell and I would think would be as good of a price as the liquor store. Sam's has a liquor store attached as does Publix. Walmart sells, but doesn't have an attached shop like the others.

We usually buy from there as opposed to a stand alone shop. The only one I can think of is ABC Liquor and it is in Lake Buena Vista/Kissimmee as well but closer to Crossroads (Downtown Disney).

Beer would probably be cheaper at Walmart or Publix (Publix usually has good coupons in store) but wine/spirits may be better at Sams.

Remind me/us down here when it gets closer and I'll watch ads to see what is up. I'd think Publix and Walmart would have good prices since they are getting ready for Thanksgiving.

Oh my gosh you sell liquor in the foodstores - wowowowow -- sweet!!!!

All three of us are doing the Pirate Night Dress up DH has his outfit that we got from the UK three years ago.... DD bought a corset from Rue21 and then a skirt - as well as thigh highs and all kinds of other things.....I am wearing legging -- a skirt that I cut up and a shirt

I just booked our 11/21/09 cruise on the Magic and just found this thread. I tried to go through the posts to figure things out and got a little overwhelmed, ha. So, are you ALL going to be on that cruise?? That would be so wow. It is not our first cruise but our first Disney cruise and I am over the top excited!! My bday is on turkey day this year so it will be extra special. Glad to have found this thread.

Steffylou answered most of your questions I think. I personally find Publix one of the higher priced grocery stores in Florida. Beer or Wine I say Wal-Mart will give you the best price. But ABC Liqours is the best for the hard stuff. You are not too far from the LOOP (Osceola Parkway and John Young) It is a LARGE outdoor mall. Actually it has two parts East and West and then more across the street. There is an ABC Liqour at the Loop East.

If you let us know as you get closer what it is you are looking for not just for the cruise but for entertainment just let us know. I am in that area all the time.

Question? Do I carry my booze on myself, like in a roll-on soft cooler? Or can I check it (if its in a plastic bottle)? I remember reading this answer before but have since forgotten.

Also, DH keeps asking me about Cuban cigars. Do they sell them on the ship or is it something you can buy in St. Martin and bring on board? I'm guessing, either way, they would need to be smoked before returning to Port. He is so funny... he can't hardly breath or sit up (swine flu is making its way through our house -oink,oink-) but he keeps bugging me to ask about the Cubans!

Another cool factoid, my DD9 plays soccer with a girl who is also going to be on board our cruise. She, her 4 siblings, and parents will be on their 5th Disney cruise but when I asked them if they were doing the fish extenders or knew what the Disboards were, they looked at me like I had 3 heads!

oh eekk -- or oink ? we have something here too - I want to believe it is a cold - but I dont know!!! It is a knock out illness though! I have to go to work today and I am dragggggginggggg....

I doubt we will be LUCKY as to get NEW MOON - so my plans are the sunday I am back in NH - I am heading right to the movies!!

Not sure on the movies. I have checked the Disney movies that will be released in November.

Well the best list of what movies will be shown in the theatre is a week or two out.

Your best bet is to bring them on yourself. Never know what will happen to it when you check it in. so i suggest roll it on.

Yes the liqour store is your best. There is one in the crossroads if you plan on going to Disney. However, I am guessing it will be cheaper if you drive to the Loop.
