Turkey Day Gang 2009

Well I saw an orthopod today and for the next couple weeks will be wearing an air cast...that little slip in tennis yesterday caused quite a bit of swelling last night...more xrays next week just to be sure it is only a sprain (which I know from experience can be worse than a break)...and hey, it hurt so little at the time that I played 2 more sets on it.

Chuck:cool1:

Chuck that sucks!!!!

One more thing, i was looking at the FE list today and noticed that there are several people who I know have a room number, including us, who have not supplied updated info to MommyMinnie...please lets get that list updated so Michelle can do her map later on...from experience, covering 34 rooms can be a lot of walking, which is great exercise, but being left out, in whole or in part, b/c not everyone has your room number will result in some very unhappy people...

And for those who intend to upgrade at the port, I strongly suggest attending the Dismeet and/or telling those you see in matching shirts at the port...

I will be proposing Deck 10 Starboard just after mandatory drill and just prior to sailaway party for Dismeet.

Chuck:cool1:

good thoughts on both the list and the DISmeet location. I was gonna start the list last Satruday now it will be this weekend

Air cast or no air cast, I will still be in trial on Wednesday....

I am just hoping for no trial conflicts with the cruise this time...too many close calls in the past..

Chuck - Hope that the air cast works and nothing else is needed. Surely hope that work won't interfere with your cruise plans.

I finally just asked for coverage from my co-workers the other day. They don't know it yet - but, whomever covers for me will get gifts from somewhere. Speaking of that -- DH wants to buy some alcohol to bring back to his office - any suggestions on where to buy?

Question for those of you who've sailed with Gty 12 before? At what point do I start becoming obsessive about looking for a stateroom assignment? Obsessive, Disney planner anonymous is for me! :rotfl:

ETA - I just noticed the ticker! 2 months to go.....

I am already going crazy looking - and we are a month out at least -
I got so bad that I check on the official site for the OPEN rooms available and DREAM of what room I may get...

So would we meet on Deck 10 (over the dance floor I think right?) for the meet and sail away party?

I think we stayed on Deck 10 for our last two sail away parties :) :)

:yay::yay::yay:Chuck, Lisa, and Mason Crystal just called and she was able to get a room on the ship (Verandah):banana::banana:

Obviously they are super excited....I asked if they get beyond platinum status.

i think they want to add to the FE too as they have seen so many of them

She and her friend Leah (I think Mason knows her) are super excited.

i told them to hurry up and get that slide working on the island

Mason will be very excited!! :cool1: :thumbsup2 :yay: :woohoo:

Lisa

And I have the greatest image of Lisa crawling around a courtroom searching for a diamond:rotfl:
Thanks for the dose of laughter Chuck.

The most embarrassing part is that I wasn't able to find the diamond...My opposing party found it!! She literally crawled under the table to find and retrieve the diamond!! Thankfully she was honest and returned it to me!! :thumbsup2 :wizard:

I think St. Marten is better for alcohol, but I know people that swear by Charlotte Amalia (St. Thomas)

Hate to tell you this but at about 3 weeks out....right before the bag tags are sent...sorry :guilty:

Deck 10 is a great place for our group meet. It really works well.

Many of us will see each other at port ..... But the sail away party is really a blast....

Even though we aren't completely fiished, here is what our FE looks like (I hope I do this right!!!):

Over the next several week I will be gathering information for our mini navigator. We will get a copy of the FE by floor to be included also.

If you have a special event, birthday or anniversary etc. Just let me know.

We have a few special get togethers planned.

Monday - Bunko ( LK4) to teach us how to play. ( late afternoon)

We also talked about a DISign classes and clip art swap.

Formal Night after late dinner... Group Photo

All items are just fun, if you do not have other plans..

If we need to add anything... Just let me know.

Also.... Boy Scout patch swap....

The above photo is of our 2007 Disboard Group.... We had a terrific time! This photo was a great keepsake. The cast members were great to take photos for us with our cameras.

I hope we have a chance to do this at the Sail Away party and on Formal Night...

ok - so some of us will meet at the HYATT the night before and take the FIRST Bus out of the Airport - wearing our matching TSHIRTS --- arrive at the port and find more matching TSHIRTS --- then go on the MAGIC - more matching shirts - lunch for us will be at TOPSIDERS - as DH loves sitting and people watching...Dsis and DBIL will probably be with me and hopefully Marvin and Tara ( the ASL Interps ) will be with us too....

we will all go to the Drill and have a HUGE Sailaway bash on Deck 10 -- YAHOOOOOO --- party !!!

We opted for a couple of nights in the parks and the MVMCP on Friday before the cruise. We are planning a short meet on Friday night...

I am really getting excited...

Wendy -- thanks for posting the picture. What a big group!

Charlie -- I'm impressed. Who made it - you or your fiancee?
