YEAH! I just booked our airfare for our flight from BWI to MCO!!!!! $67 each on Air Tran. Now hoping that somehow we'll get good airfare to come back. We're going to fly now!

We're not driving !!!!! YEAH!!!

I am so jealous - our airfare was $800/per person!! Luckily I was able to buy two with miles.

Well, that's it for me. I'm off to shop for a lovely dinner for Steve. Andrew and my parents took off for their lake house and (since next week is our 20th anniversary) I'm going to go all out and really cook for Steve!

YAHOO to no early UP's for us

Got the passports yesterday - sheesh can they make you look any nastier in those pics???

As for us - we are all set - got airfare through JETBLUE - we arrive in Orlando on the 15th and stay at the condo for a few days - going to see SeaWorld and NASA ( any tips on which tickets to buy would be greatly appreciated!!! ) then we will go to the Hyatt on Friday the 20th.

We are doing Bernie's and Burlie's excursions on the island - Hope those are good ones!!

As of yesterday my Disney Rewards total was at $625.00 hope that with a little more will be enough for a week on the Magic...

I broke it down as folllows:

Shutters - 5 8x10's $85.00
Store purchases $150.00
Drinks $300.00
Internet $100.00

Anything else I am missing - of course we probably will drink more -- ehehhe But I am bringing a bottle of rum with me

Karen: grats on the anniversary, but trust me, if i suggested to Lisa to cook for our anniversary, I think I would be shot or worse..that said, hope it went well.

Lisa: NASA can be lots of fun, but can be done in one day if you skip the separate astronaut's hall of fame - which is nice, but not necessary unless you are really into that stuff...as for the tour itself, the bus tour is fun and takes a couple hours...also, if not a budget breaker, lunch with an astronaut is really nice, and also represents the only edible food sold there (well in our opinion anyway).

I just looked at the site - and the two day pass and lunch with an astronaut is only $255.00 for the three of us...so it would appear that we can go there for two days - is there enough for us to do in two days???

Hiya - we are not bingo players - did it on the last cruise - and did not like it much -

Not sure about the wine tasting - hmm - could be!!!



I am getting excited -- planning our vacation - pre cruise - and then all the stuff for the cruise - wahooooooo - only 166 days for us - wowo amazing!

Just booked our SeaWorld trip - got adults tixs at kids price - with one day free so if we do not see everything on day 1 - we can go back on day 2

Also booked our NASA trip - did a two day package and lunch with the astronaut

I suspect NASA will not take more than 1.5 days including the astronaut hall of fame, but this way you can take your time, and you can get a picture after lunch w/the astronaut...there are about 5-6 of them that take turns.

As to Bingo, Lisa usually plays the last session - when the jackpot is given away, but that is it. Lisa also likes the wine tasting (I prefer beer). There are plenty of other adult activities throughout the week...I suggest finding the Navigator threads on this site and printing some recent ones to get a complete picture on activities for all ages...one first night game that is always a riot is Match Your Mate (think Newlywed Game).

Hi guys, can't believe we are less than 6 months out. Just thought I would check in with everyone. I need to get busy... first things first, the kids and I all need new passports. And I want to get my bracelets ordered. What is going on with the t-shirts?

On another note, has anyone participated in the tequila, wine or beer tastings onboard? DH is really looking forward to those. I would love to know more about them so I can talk them up to him. He's still not sure about the whole cruise thing.

jeniamt, I have done the wine tasting 3 times. They give you 6 wines, 3 white and 3 red and champagne. Also there is cheese and crackers to 'cleanse' your palate!!! The othe tastings I can't speak about because I have never done them.

You didn't have Martinis on your list, but FWIW we did the Martini tasting on the Western last year. 4 nice-sized martinis -- "original", apple pucker, pomegranate and chocolate. The last 3 were very yummy!! To make the first one bearable, I'd take a sip, then use one of the others as a chaser! If you don't like sweet drinks, this might not be the tasting for you. They aren't over-the-top sweet (except for the chocolate, which is like dessert in a glass) but for, say, a whiskey sour drinker, this could be all wrong. Drinks were brought out in stages with some educational stuff in between, but after the 2nd drink no one was paying attention until we had the chance to earn an extra free martini. (DH won by answering trivia)

I tried to do the wine tastings, but they filled up quickly! So be sure to book the first night if you want to go -- you'll see me in line.

Dinner was lovely! Chuck, I understand what you mean. The thing is that I really, really love to cook (for my 2nd act career, I'd love to go to chef's school and be a chef), so I was really happy to have the kitchen to myself (no sharing it with Andrew....who also loves to cook) and was glad to whip up some homemade french crusty bread, an incredible marinade for some steaks, a few "munchables" to get us started, etc. And, I made Steve's favorite (from scratch) chocolate cake! The best part was that he helped with the dishes! Yep, that's what 20 good years is all about...a spouse that helps with the dishes!
