[Pixie Dust for Me!]

So, I just got word that our shirts were printed today ! Now the bad news is that you will get them next week and it will add to your laundry loads. The good news is that you will get then next week!

I should have the shirts in my possession by Wednesday or Thursday -- it depends on a few factors like dry time, packing, etc.

I'll post a note as to when I ship them out to all of you (and will likely post before then too)!

It's getting close...and I'm not ready yet!

Anyone ever shipped a box to DCL prior to their cruise? If so how soon can one ship it?

It's so nice to see that Chuck had so much time to play here on disboards while I had to go give blood for my surgery tomorrow and now have to do some pre-op prep steps.

I look at it as forced rest. Enjoy that aspect. I often wish I had one of those anesthesia machines in my home....HA!

I had 2 students get sick in front of me today. I REALLY hope the flu doesn't go around in my classroom. Lots of vitamin C, handwashing, and sanitizing for me!

Boxes Sent the Ship Ahead of Cruise - PLEASE follow these instructions carefully!!!!!! UPDATED AS OF 2/25/2009
• ONE box per stateroom, no exceptions.
• The package must have the guest full name, ship, sailing date, stateroom number or GTY if you have not been assigned a stateroom number.
• The package also must have a packing slip attached to the outside of the box that details the contents of the package. For prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient. Your list may or may not be read but it must have one. Write packing slip on the outside of the envelope.
• NO FOODS/DRINKS OF ANY KIND, LIQUOR OF ANY KIND, FIREARMS, ETC.. Items that cannot be shipped to the Disney Cruise Line Warehouse and delivered to the ship include: food products (any and all food products including baby food/formula), beverages (liquor, water, etc.), chemicals, and luggage. These items will not be accepted at the warehouse and will be returned. This may cause the dogs to hit on your box and that would be a bad thing.
• The required size of the cartons you are shipping down have to be about the size of a record storage box 12 inches on a side and should not weigh more than 20 lbs. (This has been asked personally by Dave Adams who is the owner)

In the bottom left corner of the top of the package put the following information: ATTN: HOUSEKEEPING
*Name
*Sail Date
*Ship
*Stateroom Number
*Packing slip that details contents of the package (for prescriptions, a copy of the prescription is sufficient)
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 7-Night Cruise on the Disney Magic (Saturday).
• Packages must arrive by Friday by 3:00pm for the 4-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Sunday).
• Packages must arrive by Wednesday by 3:00pm for the 3-Night Cruise on the Disney Wonder (Thursday).

If your box is hit on by the screening dog or chosen for additional screening they will open the list and the box and look through it. They will close it back up and provided nothing bad is in it then it will be in your room as usual later after boarding. These boxes will be coming on the ship with the crew mail among other things so they may be in the staterooms later then they were before as they are low priority in the scheme of things for Disney.

Thank you! That is so nice of you! When we went on our last cruise DH was asking me about all the magnets on peoples doors and I convinced him that people had bought them all as part of DIsney packages. lol. He believed me. I just didn't know.

The collective doors of the people on this thread will be completely covered...someone gave us some signs in pieces that curve around the room numbers, such as mouse ears etc. (I am letting her remain anonymous), but they are very nice.

Our exciting evening -- DH and I went to Ravens stadium for a fundraiser for the players' charities. Was a nice evening out and got to meet Joe Flacco, our quarterback and several other players. I've never seen hands that were as big as Joe's - they were massive. My first comment to DH was I'm glad he's not a GYN

I just found out that my cruising buddy from 2006 is on the same cruise - how in the world we didnot figure this out sooner is beyond me. She and I were partners in crime in the SPA and then on the Stingray City excursion... it was awesome. We are friends on facebook - but for some reason never put two and two together.

Well, we are well on our way to 4000 posts!!! I know we can make it to 5000 as planned. Only 17 more days to post before the cruise.
