Turkey Day Gang 2009 Thread #2

I thought I would do my part towards the posts....I went and had my boy's hair trimmed since they just had it cut a few weeks ago. I ended up buying my oldest one a new bike because that is his new obsession. On our way home he asked me if we could ride our bikes together on Saturday. I told him we'll see. I need to hurry up and get a plan for telling them! I think I'm going to write a poem and read it to them that tells them about the trip.

I just have a little left to pack and we'll be ready. I'm working a 1/2 day tomorrow since my 2nd grader is have a Thanksgiving Feast at lunch time that I'll go to. I'm probably going to check the boys out of school and leave straight from there. If not, I have a feeling they will take off to play with friends and not want to leave. I never said my kids were normal!

I'll post more if i think of something new.

Our family is on the final stretch... We finished almost all the packing...

DD has practiced her Dolly Madiosn presentation 20 times. Go to school in the AM give the presentation then head to airport. We are all in need of a vacation.

I hope to try to post from the hotel and via the iPhone.. We will see how it goes.

I bet it is. Just wondering if the bridge is there connecting the two towers.

Our DVC home is Saratoga Springs. Although we love Beach club more. Will probably attend the DVC presentation on board to hear the latest deals. People had been saying there're some great on board discounts for purchasing DVC. Wonder what may there be for GCV.

Last post before I call it a night....we sent an email to Mason's teacher to feel free to send any work he will be missing....so the teacher tells Mason she will be not sending any work. The teacher told Mason that it would not be fair for everyone to be sitting on deck getting a tan while poor Mason is stuck in the cabin doing school work!! As you can imagine, the teacher is now Mason's bff!!

Now how will it be fair for all the other kids who are stuck in the classroom while Mason is tanning on deck?!!!

Wish Nathan's teacher will do the same when we take our long Christmas trip. But from past experience we probably will have a suitcase full of take home works.

I am also part of the Thursday/Friday work club. Too top everything off, we officially have a new CEO at work that started this week. So in my first meeting I had to explain why I can't accept any meetings next week that she has been trying to schedule with me. Yikes. Never know how that is going to go! She said awesome! Have a great vacation. Make sure you balance business and family!

Now I may cut out early on Friday!

I have the kids stuff about 80% "gathered". Then I have to do the final check and get them packed. Hopefully this will be done tonight. Magnets are done which will leave packing for me for Friday night. Believe it or not I am ahead of my normal curve.

Congrats to Logan!!!! Both of my brothers went into the Boy Scouts. They went to the Order of the Arrow ceremonies and became Eagle Scouts. I on the other hand, decided not to follow them. I remember them coming home from camping trips and smelling very musty!! What were they doing?
