Have you ever cooked a turkey breast, 6.5 lbs, in the crock pot? I have looked at recipes online and it seems pretty simple but I thought I would ask everyone here to see what you think. If you have and liked the way it turned out, how exactly did you do it?
Thanks for all your help.:)

I have cooked many a bird in the crock pot, turkey breast being one of our favorites.

I clean it up (rinse it off) and cut off excess skin and place it bone down in the crock pot. I usually throw in some celery, but only if I have it. I shake on some spices (onion powder, salt, pepper, whatever you like). I add about 1/2 cup of water if I didn't add any celery. I cook it on high to begin with for about an hour and then turn it down to low for another 4 or so.

The great thing about the crock pot is in the summertime, I put it out on the screened porch and cook it there. No heat or humidity added to the house.

I like to cook the boneless butterball turkeys in the crockpot. A little water, salt, pepper and butter!
