For our trip in May, we made lunch reservations at the Turf Club Bar and Grille. Has anyone eaten there lately, and if so, what did you think about it? We will be on the Deluxe Dining Plan for 10 nights, so we are trying a lot of different restraunts. This is one we've never been to and I just want to get some opinions. Thanks in advance!

It was quite good. A bit of a hidden gem.

They have excellent burgers, fantastic fries (ask for a mix of regular and sweet potato!) and the Espresso torte dessert was amazing!

Had dinner there last year. Big party--12 people with kids---we felt a little out of place. It seemed a bit stuffy for us but....the food was excellent. A very nice place for an adult dinner.

We had a bad experience with it last November...
service was mediocre at best which meant that we couldn't get anything that was wrong with our order fixed.

Having said that--it has great potential to be a good meal and good restaurant.

This describes our experience right down to the fact that we see it as a restaurant with plenty of "potential" to be a great meal. We will try it again!

NOTE: The Turf Club is a bar-eatery inside SSR.
It's somewhat small, but is OK because it gets few
guests. The luncheon sandwiches are very tasty
and fairly priced, but the dinner entrées are quite
below average and too overpriced. (C'mon, pasta with
shrimp for $20 ?!) We prefer to make a meal of the
appetizers and desserts, which are quite good and
suitably priced. By the way, the Apple Crisp and
Lemon Pound Cake are great. Now, if we can only get
by the slow-to-terrible wait staff service.

I ate here with DD in February and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I had the burger with the lobster on top. It was yummy. We also shared the mussels for an appy and they were very good as well. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone! I think we are going to change our reservation; the mixed reviews are making me a little weary!

We ate there in February and had the best mussels ever! Our experience with the service was very good. We will definately return.

It is one of our favorite places to eat on property! We are local and go about once a month for lunch or dinner! Food is great (try the grilled romaine salad for an ap) and the pomagranent martini is to die for!
