I'm curious if anyone has ever eaten here before. I don't hear much about it...

Is it any good? (saratoga springs resort)

Thanks!
Tammy

Hi Tammy. me, DH & DD (10) ate at the Turf Club for our 15th anniversary dinner in October 2008. This was our first time eating here as DD and her grandma surpised us with this dinner ressie for our anniversary. I must say the setting was so peaceful; we ate outside overlooking the river and the boat launch. The service was very good, a little slow, but the service was excellent. The food was actually pretty good, and as far as pricing goes I think it is in line with other table service restaurants. I had the spareribs, I believe they were coated with an apple bbq sauce...they were excellent. DH had some form of fish (I think Tuna)...I don't eat seafood so I really can't remember:confused3 DD had a typcial kids meal...chicken soup and salad and chix tenders. I don't think you will be disappointed if you try it, and if you can ask to be seated outside. Hope this helps.

It's been awhile since the last time we ate there (2007). But it was a positive experience. The food was delicious (steak and lobster) and the service was good as well. While it's not a must-do when we return to the WDW, it's definitely a restaurant we would return too in the future. It's just that we still have so many others that we have yet to try! :)

Turf Club is a hidden gem IMHO! We have eaten here several times (in one trip) and on other trips :thumbsup2 We have always had excellent service, and wonderful food.

Some of our favorites:
Appy's: Onion rings and crab cakes. Plan to share, the orders are big.
Entrees: I love the penne pasta with shrimp, the NY strip, the Angus cheeseburger
Dessert: save room for the lava cake  If you're one of those strange people like DH ;) that doesn't love love love chocolate (a concept that I really don't understand :upsidedow ), get the cheesecake with fresh berries or just the mixed berries :thumbsup2

The menu is out of date here on the Dis, so check this one out :goodvibes

My adult DD were at SSR this past October...due to major blisters:scared1: there was a day we had planned on going back to Epcot for dinner but couldn't handle the walking...we went to Turf club and we loved it so much we ate there again during our 6 day visit. We were on the DxDP and really enjoyed this restaurant and it is now on our must visit spots. When you are done eating, there is a boat launch right outside that takes you to DTD.....

we had the onion rings, NY strip and cheesecake and apple pie...we LOVED it all...we ate outside once and it was very nice with the view of DTD but found the chairs a little uncomfortable.....ate inside next time and enjoyed it....service both times was excellent!

I consider Turf Club our hidden gem:cool1:

DH and I love the Turf Club!! Saratoga is our home resort so we stay there a lot. I think on our last trip we at there at least 3 times and we were there 6 days. If you love seafood you must try the mussels appetizer. It is delicious and yummy!!. The angus cheese burger is awesome. They have this gouda cheese polenta that is so tasty. The lamb chops and the NY strip are wonderful also. If you get the opportunity to sit outside you should. The view of the lake is nice and it adds to the atmosphere. We had excellent and friendly cast members. I can't say anything bad about the place.

I ate at the Turf Club with DH and DS last Sunday. DH and I had strip steak while DS has prime rib. The serivce was wonderful and the food was excellent. This is a hidden gem that not many Disney guests know about. If you get a chance to dine here you will enjoy it.

This is also a must do on our trips too. We have always had excellent food and service. However, ADRs are a must because they were turning folks away during our last visit. We ate here 4 times last year and once already this year. We have an ADR for May too. Having a car is great for dining at other resorts. I own at SSR, but have never stayed there.

We have tried to walk in a few times and they are always booked.
