Turf Club at Saratoga

Hi Everyone:
I had previously read where people really enjoyed the Turf Club so we made a reservation for our upcoming trip. I don't get to spend a lot of time on the Disboards (unfortunately) but the other day I happened to read some reviews that weren't so good and I'm now wondering whether we should cancel and book someplace else. We have been to many of the restaurants through the years, but hadn't tried this one and thought we would give it a shot, but we usually like to try restaurants that others have given good reviews not mixed. I am aware that all reviews are subjective, but since we do have some meals in and some out, we try to be selective. I would love to hear comments from anyone who has eaten recently at the Turf Club.

We eat there when we stay at SSR. I don't think it's good enough that I'd actually travel to the resort just to eat there. It's not bad; it's just not great either.

We stayed at saratoga springs in August and whilst the Turf Club was OK. I like the last person would not travel there just to eat . All of our meals were fine but nothing special, in fact if i stayed there again not sure i would go again. Just my opinion

That definitely helps. Although we're only a boat ride away at OKW, I am going to cancel the reservation and book somewhere else. Thank you for the quick replies and help.

We quite enjoyed Turf Club, and it will be our first stop upon arrival next week. We actually preferred Turf Club to Le Cellier!

We stayed at SSR for part of a previous trip, and my (er, now ex, tho that's irrelevant) boyfriend enjoyed Turf Club so much we dined their twice! I liked it, too, but not quite as much as he did. I think it's a great option if you're already staying at SSR, but it's not really worth the special trip. Our food was good, but you can get food just as good at plenty of other places on property. SSR is a nice resort, though, so if you're interested in checking it out, then go for it.

We ate here twice in Feb. We were staying at SSR so we didn't have to travel. We thought it was pretty good, we enjoyed the ribs, but I believe that they are no longer on the menu.

Thank you for all the replies. I did cancel our reservation and since most of the replies are definitely not raves, I'm glad we did, especially since they no longer have the ribs (didn't know that). One of the things we were looking forward to trying were the ribs.
