Turbotax Question - Electing to Itemize

My itemized deductions this year fall just below the standard deduction. This was the case for me as well last year. However, since Oklahoma still has its standard deduction at only $2,000 I am better off overall to go ahead and itemize my deductions on my federal return, so I can take use the entire itemized amount on my state return. Last year, I was able to check a box on turbotax to elect to itemize even though this was less than the standard deduction, but I cannot find that option anywhere in the program this year. I am using Turbotax Deluxe. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks for any suggestions!

I hate to say this, because I've done it in the past and it wasn't pretty, but I think you may have to contact TurboTax. When I did it (2 years ago) they offered an online support option via chat at no cost, I'm assuming that it's still the case today. I've since converted to TaxCut, so unfortunately I am unable to try and find your answer directly.

Could you just go to the top of the screen and click on Deductions and just go through them like that?

I just did my taxes today using Turbotax online. It asked me if I wanted to do the itemized deduction even if it is less than the standard. Did you buy it or are you using it online? I used the free Turbo online.
