Tupperware or Gladware?? What's your favorite tupperware gadget?

I LOVE the rectangle cake taker one side for a cake the other side has a cupcake holders its great!! I love it all because it holds up so well. It is a little expensive, but sometimes they have really great sales. I do keep some gladlock stuff around for people to take home food in, and have used that stuff in the past. But since i have to keep rebuying it because it doesnt hold up i end of spending as much on that as my tupperware.
I have the ice cream scoop and the can opener, i have the chopper, heck i think i have it all LOL.

I like the tupperware thing that you use to decorate cakes with. Its dishwasher safe (even the tips) :)
I think if you have the extra money then its worth it :thumbsup2

This is my favorite too! It is great for filling deviled eggs.

I don't care for Tupperware. I used to order the surprise packs a few years ago when they had them at great prices. I found that all of the smaller bowls (cereal bowl types) had problems with the lids staying on. Maybe all of mine were defective, who knows.

I did like the pizza containers, but tin foil works just as well and I don't have to clean a container when I'm done ;)

I like the Lock n Lock containers. They have them in sets on QVC and are awesome. They also sell the individual ones at Target, but aren't as good of a deal.

When I was a kid my mom had these kid-sized Tupperware tumblers that were weighted at the bottom, so they were harder to knock over. I wish they still made those! I did get a great deal on a set of thick plastic tumblers that my kids use every day, they've held up wonderfully.

My other favorite is the hamburger shaper tool that helps you make perfectly round hamburgers quickly, and then I put them in the stackable freezer containers. We can easily take off the number of hamburgers we want without worrying about them sticking together, and it makes it easier to deal with a big package of ground beef that we're not going to eat all at once.

My DM saved my old TW play set from when I was my DD age and both of my kids played with my shape sorter. It's pretty cool something held up for over 30 years and is still enjoyable(can you tell my DM is a pack rat). Like wise my kids use the same tumblers from my childhood. I had to buy new sipper lids because my 2 DS chewed them up. I love my container to marinate meat, the large mixing/measuring cup that had the lid with the hole to fit and electric mixer in. I love my stackable storage container for flour and sugar and other stuff, my large anything bowl to take to potlucks, and my jello ring for holidays. So in other words I am a tupperware freak, but do agree it is expensive. The good thing is that it will last you forever, the bad thing is if you leave it behind somewhere you'll be grumbling everytime you wished you had it back to use again which could be a very long time.

I used to be a gold level manager with a mini-van, so I have tons of Tupperware. Having a problem pregnancy is not conducive to having ones own business--I had to give it all up and if I wanted to go back to work I'd have to start all over again--not so easy to work for a little commision and no car when you'd "had it all". I love the modular mates for the cupboards. The food stays fresh and it stacks in the cupboards neatly--it's also a great defense against critters. I honestly don't have a favorite piece, but for gadgets, the corn butter up and orange peeler are indespensible at our house and of course i love the little magnets and key chains. My Dh would like tupperware better if there were not so many Rubbermaid totes in the basement filled with the stuff (how's that for irony!).
Remember a few years ago when mypoints would have the email for 800 points for any size purchase on line--boy did I love those!

Seals can sometimes be tight--run them under hot water and dry them off, while still warm run the seal around the bowl--they will fit effortlessly and your fingers will be spared the pressure.

I just love those sandwich boxes. Not the ones with the separate lid, but those one piece sandwich boxes. I have a bunch of older ones with Pokemon on them. Those things are great. They work great for portioning out leftovers and such. I never have to search for a lid.
They look like this..

Another favorite is the Crystal Wave soup mugs. DH will take soup, chili or leftovers in those things. They don't leak. He packs them in his lunchbox (he's in construction, so he needs a smaller cooler in case he leaves the jobsite). Then you pop the little seal on top, microwave your food and it's great. The handle makes it nice so you don't have to handle a hot bowl.

Those soup mugs also work great for Easy Mac. We eat regular oatmeal. I don't buy the overpriced instant kind. Those soup mugs work great for making a single serving of oatmeal. I put the quick oats, a little sugar and cinnamon. Then my son can add 1 cup of water, microwave for just under 2 minutes and it's done.

The mugs look like this..

A while back we bought 2 of the surprise packs. We got a ton of Pokemon stuff. My son was so happy since we've liked Pokemon for years. We got a cereral holder, snack cups, soup mugs, etc. You didn't have to order a minimum in order to get the mystery boxes. That was cool.

Tupperware is nice, but at full price it's expensive.

ETA.. those flatout bowls are neat. We took them with us to WDW last October when we did free dining. If someone couldn't finish their counter service dessert (like a rice krispie treat or something) we'd put it in the flat out. It stored flat in DH's backpack. Then you expand it when you want to put something in it. It saved having a few treats from being squished.

I LOVE TW!! I have both, TW and ziploc/glad. I use the TW for me, and the other to give. I confess that I wasn't a big fan of TW because of price. But I went to a party after DD was born, and immediately became an addict. Most TW has lifetime warranty! I had the same wonderful TW lady for over 10 years, usually would have a party twice a year. Birthday weeks, and record breaker. They give extra to hostesses then. As a favor to my TW lady, I started selling. I sell to myself! No parties, and occasionally when my sisters or friends want something. I am not in it to make any money, just support my "habit." I am able to buy samples, and product at a reduced rate. Most months, I just order enough to stay active. I do have a website, but it is more to have access to the web only deals, and the catalogs online. When they have items in the flyers on sale I usually "stock up" and use them as gifts. I love the suprise packs! You can usually get really great items in them. I usually order a few of the new keychains, when the come out. They are about 5/$2, sometimes $3. Depends on what it is. I have a huge box filled with the game give aways. I order a new pack every so often, to see if there is anything new in it, then just toss it in with the rest. I am not trying to drum up sales, or get business. Do not want to have to deal with taxes. But if you are looking for something, feel free to ask. If I have it or can get I will. I do have boxes, and boxes, and boxes of stuff I have accumulated over the 12+ years of buying, and selling to myself. No obligations, and no pushy TW lady, just a fellow DIS'er letting you know about my "addiction."

I have thought about buying the smart spin thing, is that rubbermaid? I think that looks cool, my "plastic" cupboard is so disorganized, it drives me crazy.

I have the samrt spin thing. :rotfl: I like it because it does save space and the lids are all the same size. They aren't that good for microwaving though eventhough they say they are microwaveable. I use the medium size ones the most and need more of them. I wish you could just buy replacement packs for each size instead of more or each.

I also have a plethora of various tupperware, rubbermaid, gladware stuff. I'm partial to tupperware though. I use my big yellow strainer more than anything esle I think!....and these cute cereal bowls in bright colors....and... :rotfl2:

I use the heck out of my Tupperware Mix-n-Pour pitcher! I picked it up at a yard sale for 25 cents! :teeth:

I second the soup container. I can usually find cheaper versions for storage that work just a well, but I love the soup container and also the matching 3 compartment dish for taking lunches to work. I really need to buy more since dh and I fight over it sometimes!

I got this mini salt-n-pepper shaker and loved it but somebody at work swiped it(back before I became a sahm) I can't seem to find it and I don't know if it's a spcial thingy. It was a side by side portable one where the lid closes so your salt-n-pepper didn't spill out. That is my only experience with TW but personally love Pampered Chef stuff.

My whole family seem to be Tupperware fans. So I have several pieces, but my favorite item is the flat out bowls. They are great for camping, picnics or just storing extra food. I plan on bringing some with us to WDW when we come!! My favorite gadget would have to be my new smidget (I think that's what it's called). It's a miniaturized version of a mixing bowl with lid, no bigger than the size of a half dollar and about and inch tall. It's handy for little items like earrings, medicine or a small ingredient.
