Has anyone done a fundraiser with Tupperware for your organization?

Are you a consultant that does Tupperware fundraisers?

THinking of doing one for a youth sports organization. Just wondering how your experience was. Did you do well? How was it received by the parents/supporters? Did they love it? Hate it?

Tell me all!

I used to be a Tupperware consultant and I did a well received fundraidser for a private school. I think we sold about 2000 worth and the school ended up getting about 700 of it (I used my commission for prizes for the students and gave the rest to the school). It was well received by all. There used to be a special fundraiser catalog. It was fun for me and super easy for the school.

I haven't done a tupperware fundraiser but recently did a fundraiser selling flower bulbs. We received 50% of the profit and with only about 25 girls selling we raised $900. Good luck! Fundraising can be hard!!

As somoene who buys lots of stuff for school fundraisers, I have to say I would LOVE if the kids near me did tupperware! Enough with teh giant tubs of cookie dough. I don't have freezer space for them and some of the brans have been good cookies, others were awful. I also despise the catalogs with overpriced wrapping paper and candles.

My nieghbors have 6 kids, so we buy whatever they sell. I wish they would sell something useful! SOme of my favorites have been a raffle calendar, we paid 10 bucks and they did raffles every day for a month, prizes were good, all donated. I won a ift card for a local resgteraunt. I also like the coupon books they sold. I forget how much they were, 5 bucks I think, and they were for discounts at all the local pizza places and sub shops. We did actually use it when we made an effort to remember.

That is what I was thinking. I am NOT buying any more wrapping paper! :rotfl:

No one here remembers ever doing a tupperware fundraiser. In fact, we don't even have a Tupperware consultant in our area...hoping it goes well!

Good fundraisers! Like any fundraiser it depends on how motivated your group is with these.

They have two options

Fundraiser Line - Limited number of items Organization makes 40% of sales. No shipping charges for customer.

Regular Catalog - This is the regular catalog and has all of the tried and true products. Organization makes 20% of Sales in our area. It varies as Consultants only make 25% of sales and they are giving up their profit to the organization. It may be less in other area . Customers pay shipping on items purchased.

I have a lot of experience with fundraisers for youth, but we have never done a tupperware fundraiser. I'm not sure about in your area, but our area is still pretty depressed economically so I can give you some tips on other fundraisers that work. The ones that have done the best for us have all been fundraisers that either have a value seen, food, coupon books or gas gift card raffles. The group I am in charge of has 12 and 15 youth ages 13-18. The most recent best selling fundraisers have been pepperoni roll sales made about $900, a meat raffle fundraiser that raised approximately $1200 and the gas gift card raffles they made approximately $1000. I know this all sound like a lot but we are going on a trip that we needed to cover hotel rooms for 2 nights, tickets to events that we will be attending, etc. Although tupperware is also useful, in our area it probably wouldn't far as well as it is not as much of a "need". Just a thought on what is working in our area.
