Summary:
As part of a Teacher of the Year awards ceremony the Simpsons get to go to Orlando though Homer is horrified that instead of going to any of the usual Orlando attractions like Sea World, Universal, Gator Land or as he refers to it "Disneyworld" (though i believe they meant the Magic Kingdom)-they have to go to Efcot- (as they spell it for legal reasons no doubt)--as they fly over the familiar Spaceship Earth next to what looks like the old Horizons pavillion Homer looks down exclaiming; "Oh it's even boring to fly over!" They visit several sites in the park including Eastern Airlines World of Tomorrow where we see audioanimatronics show how Eastern not only will be providing flying personal hovercrafts in the future of 1987 But are bent on total world domination by giant Eastern Airlines Robots with Eastern Airlines logos on the Washington Monument and everything else...at the Transportation Pavillion the exhibit Electric Cars of the future is sponsored by the gasoline producers- the car is slow and inefficient and according to the ride it makes you look gay (audio-animatronic stereotypical gay men shout out to the electric car you ride in- "you're one of us!" ) There is the Enron ride of broken dreams a Roller Coaster shaped like their stock chart that ends in the Poor House.... They watch Illuminations...go to an International restaurant for such exotic food as A Pizza, Der Hamburger and Signor Macaroni and Cheese...someone does want to go see Great Moments with Mr Eisner. Homer and Bart get slimed in Honey I sprayed Goo on the Audience...that is about all I can recall specifically Disney related....until the end when Homer, fed up with the educational Efcot, jumps the wall into what he calls Disneyworld but is clearly the Magic Kingdom---inside he is heard asking for a churro -when told that will cost $14, he shrieks in horror---then says "okay." Then the Credits...
