Tulip Care Budget Tip

I purchased some beautiful cut tulips at the market a couple weeks ago. At check out the cashier asked me if I knew the penny trick for tulips. I didn't.

She explained that you add one or two pennies to the water in the vase and it will make them last longer and not droop.

So, I tried this and it really worked! They looked great and stood up straight for an entire week. The water in the vase stayed clear the whole time too.

So impressed I had to share, as I love tulips! Hope it helps someone else out too.

I'm happy to hear that it works for all cut flowers. I will definitely do this. I have an abundance of roses to experiment on now from my garden!
