I don't know if this has been written about here recently. But this past summer we had the chance to experience the Tusker House character breakfast completely by accident and it instantly became our favorite character meal!

I say it was by accident because in the past Tusker House of course had been a counter service and we had always made it a habit of getting to Animal Kingdom early and then stopping in there to grab a quick bite before attacking the park.

However on this past trip we strolled up to Tusker House...saw a wait outside and thought..."something is different"...of course a CM informed us of the change and also was able to get us a table! I'm glad they could too!! The buffet style breakfast served there was both filling and unique and the character interaction was top notch! My girls had a blast!

I was wondering if anyone else out there had the same feeling as I do about it. As I said it has no surpassed Chef Mickey's in my mind as the best character breakfast!

This is good to hear as this is our first stop on our May trip.

Thanks for this review!! We are considering it for our trip and wondering how much character interaction there is. Do they hang around for awhile?

TIA!!:)

Thanks for the review. We are going there in March for breakfast because both my girls are wanting to see Daisy BADLY and we always seem to miss her in the parks. This is actually our first day at WDW and our first character breakfast for the week. I am so excited about trying this restaurant. :goodvibes

We did it in May and are going our first full day there in January. We love the food (and the jungle juice-YUM) and the interaction, although my boys are still a bit leary of the characters. Drew gives Mickey a hug so mommy and daddy can take a picture, then he's done and we don't press anymore! Can't compare to Chef Mickey's because we haven't been there yet...we like Tusker House (and Donald's Breakfastasaurus before that) so we haven't ventured away yet!

Thanks for posting! We are planning on going here next year. I'd love to know what you (or anyone) thought were the best things on the menu...

The interaction is superb! Once we were seated I can't remember a moment that a character wasn't in the room! They circulated through non-stop and there were also parades where the kids marched around with everyone!

And if you've got a kid who's a Daisy fan....this is your prime opportunity! My middle daughter is a huge Daisy fan so this was a highlight for her.

Oh yes...and for whomever mentioned the Jungle Juice....you're not kidding!!! That stuff was amazing! I could've drank it with every meal the rest of the trip!

It was a fun atmosphere, but the food was iffy. Why they need to put mango in everything is beyond me and the hash was vomit inducing.

I'm actually sad this went to buffet. I liked the food there for counter service and enjoyed the atmosphere. Will be there in May-where should I go now for a reasonably priced breakfast or lunch.
Thanks:goodvibes

OMG!! Both my girls and I are Daisy fans!! We have been to WDW 3x and DL once and have never seen her!! I'm so excited!!:cool1:

We had breakfast there last year and loved it. The food was great and the kids loved the characters. I would definitely recommend it.

Another bonus if you can make your ADR early, you can finish breakfast and get on the safari once it opens, beating the crowds that are coming to the park at opening time.

The buffet was great!! All the food was wonderful! It was one of our favorite meals on our trip in Sept.

The characters did spend extra time at our table.

I was very impressed!:cutie:

We have this on our list for our June trip. We are thinking of doing an early ADR before the park opens. Can you go straight to the safari when you are done, or do you have to go to the front of the park if it isn't opening time yet?
