I read the story of this beautiful little girl and had tears. The grief of losing a child is something that never leaves a parent. Just questions-what might of been.

I also live in Pickering and I remember hearing/reading about this family just after Olivia passed away. It's so very sad.....Heartbreaking for the family.

ahh that had me crying like a baby. I have 2 little girls who are all about princess right now and it's all about magic, hope, and dreams coming true to them. This just breaks my heart. No parent should ever have to go through that.

This is so so sad. Having two daughters who are the same age as both of their girls. And my youngest having a very similar health situation but thankfully a much different outcome...
There are no words, it's chilling how close to home this story hit for me.

What a heart breaking story, we used to live in Pickering... this is so close to home. We will definitely be attending future fundraising events for Olivia.

We are also going to be participating in the Give the Kids the world coaster for kids fundriaser at Wonderland this June. The more magic we can share the better!

Thanks everyone for your kind words and thoughts about Olivia.

I didn't want to post on this board about Olivia because I am a very infrequent poster, and it seemed that there was never going to be a good way to talk about her. But now here we are, and I'm glad the Star did the difficult and painful work for me.

Our visit to WDW in August 2013 was tremendously hard. We arrived for her birthday and stayed for a week. It was too painful to stay at our regular resort (POR) but we also knew she'd love AoA. Some highlights of our trip were letting off floating lanterns next to the pond, and having Yee Ha Bob dedicate "Gilligan's Island" to Olivia, which was her absolute favourite Bob song. We return again this summer, as we will every summer for as long as we can, to celebrate her and her absolute love of Disney.
