Tuesday, April 3rd. It was another beautiful, sunny day at WDW. I went to the comfort station and got a shower and dressed early. Then I woke DS and gave him his clothes to get dressed while I walked to the Meadows Trading Post for milk for our cereal and OJ. I had packed breakfast items so we could have a few meals at our picnic table. I had even stamped Mickey heads on a green vinyl table cover to further decorate our site in the Disney theme. The grocery items in the Trading Post are not cheap but what are you going to do? A pint of milk was $1.00, O.J, small carton, was $1.50. We had breakfast at our picnic table. After clean-up I packed my back pack and we headed to the bus stop. I always had both 35 mm camera and video cam, Disney Storybook for autographs, sunscreen, and misc other stuff. I also packed my portable umbroller stroller. This is the best $10 I ever spent. This stroller serves as a back pack cart and thus saves my back! Of course I never leave the back pack un attended. We took the bus to the Marina Area of FW and from there we caught the boat to MK. What a wonderful way to get around WDW! We never had more than a 5 minute wait for the bus and the boats were very prompt. It was so relaxing to sit on the boat and view the scenery: The Contemporary, The Poly, Grand Floridian, MK! The boat lets you off right in front of the MK! We arrived at MK around 10:00. A friend had given us 2 free tickets from her hopper passes. (Thank you, Nancy!) DS and I made a mad dash for Splash Mountain. We did not even need a Fast Pass! DS was really scared to try this but we survived! I would have liked to have gotten the picture but DS ducked down and wasn't even showing in the picture! Oh well, we'll have to do it again!!
DS wanted to do the Tea Cup Ride. I had already told him he was going alone. I knew this ride would make me sick! Fortunately the ride was under renovations and was closed.
We had lunch at Tony's. What a charming decor this restraunt has. It is themed after Disney's Lady and the Tramp, my all time favorite Disney movie. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and DS and I split it. We still could not finish everything!
Souvenir Shopping-DS found a Mickey's Socerrer's hat. He looked so cute in it! He also got a shot gun to go with his coon skin cap he got the previous day at FW. Also he got a pair of "Bugs Life" sunglasses. At first I thought they were the ugliest sunglasses I had ever seen but after a while they grew on me!
We went thru the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House and did the Pirates of the Carribean, The Legend of The Lion King. Then we moved on to Space Mountain. This is, hands-down, our favorite ride at MK. We got Fast Passes for this ride. While waiting for our time DS played games in the arcade at the base of this ride.
We had dinner reservations for Hoop-de-Doo Revue Tuesday evening so we went to the pier to catch the boat back to FW. We went to Guest Relations and picked up our dinner tickets. Then we went back to the tent to get ready for dinner.
Hoop-De-Doo, at Pioneer Hall, was so much fun. DS and I were treated to a great dinner of fried chicken, barbequed ribs, corn, baked beans, fresh baked bread, a beverage, and strawberry shortcake plus a really entertaining show! I had heard good and bad about Hoop-De-Doo but was glad we did it. DS and I got our picture taken together before being seated for dinner.
I had made our dinner reservations for Hoop-De-Doo so we could proceed, afterwards to the Marina Area and watch the Electrical Water Pagent. I had carried our totable loveseat to Hoop-De-Doo so we could sit comfortably on the beach and watch. The water pagent was fabulous and I video taped it. DS played in the sand with other kids and got quite sandy! I can't believe how much FW has to do!!!
After the pagent DS and I went back to our site. I told him he had to get a shower before getting in our tent. Also, before retiring, we were going to go armadillo hunting. We had brought along flash lights to aid in our pursuit! Would you believe that while I waited outside the Comfort Station for DS an armadillo walked right in front of me, went across the sidewalk, and down into the woods. DS missed the whole thing!!!
Perhaps another night!!!
