I know a lot of us have kids that participate in sports and the question came up yesterda in the car, which sport do I like watching better? When my DS plays tennis or when my DD twirls her baton?

So I am asking y'all which sport do you like watching best?

I picked other. I love watching my daughter's twirl lessons. I get way too nervous when my son plays a match because I know tennis and wish that I could be out there correcting him.

I had to pick other.
I only watch my DS play soccer in RL. And that has only started this year.
On TV I much prefer to watch Ice Skating.

I picked Football but thats only live. I get bored watching it on tv. LOL For tv I like Gymnastics. They keep going from gymnast to gymnast and there is no down time which I love.

I picked football- but it has to be college football and it has to be the University of Texas playing. I'm not picky or anything. :lmao: Otherwise I would rather be scrappin!

I love sports! I'll watch just about any sport on TV, but my favorite to watch is baseball. Though I must admit I'm sad right now since the Yankees got put out. . .of course, DH is thrilled that the Red Sox won. So, we're back in that fun rivalry time of year at my house!! :rotfl2:

My other favorite is football! I'll watch anyone play football. . .we're VOLS fans, of course, and Colts fans to root for Peyton! ;)

I picked ice skating. I've always loved watching it...

That was a hard one, I also like "other" ballroom dancing :lmao:

I choose ice-skating but forgot about the "other" ballroom dancing until ddavis860 reminded me. I bet you used to watch the "real" compititions on PBS, didn't you? I haven't seen them on lately.

I may be a little weird - sometimes I watch golf on Sunday afternoons.

Yeah, I did watch...guilty :rotfl:

They were back on last winter for a few times, and I'll be looking again this winter.

My parents watched golf every weekend afternoon when I was growing up...drove me crazy!! My dad used to hush me when they were puting and stuff...I could never figure it out..that TV guy couldn't hear me. My DS15 was showing interest in golf for a while and I, being the good mom that I am, was dreading it. I have to say I was so happy when he gave that up :rotfl2:

I chose Karate, although technically it's TaeKwon-Do and only because that's what DS does. Other than that I don't like to watch sports & fortunately I'm not forced to watch any because DH doesn't watch either. During Olympic years I enjoy the figure skating & gymnastics, but that's about it.

Oh poor Debbie! They made you watch golf?!?!?

I detest golf! LOL My Dad tried to get DS into it for a while, but fortunately he didn't like to watch & I think only did it to get to spend one-on-one time with Grandpop. ;)

Can't choose just one. for me it's baseball (GO RED SOX) and football (GO PATRIOTS)

But I'll watch any sport. I'm a total sports junkie

Ice Skating is my most favorite, but I also love to watch Rythmic (I don't think that is spelled right...:rolleyes1 ) Gymnastics.

This one is tough for me since we are sports junkies at my house. DS plays football, baseball, and basketball. DD plays softball- hopefully when she's old enough, she'll play volleyball. The NFL season can never start soon enough for me, so I picked football. I did see almost every Cubs game on tv this season. We're also hoping to see quite a bit of BIG 10 basketball this year (GO IU!).

none!! I hate sports!

I did watch the curling during the Olympics but that was about it.

ETA: I will sit and watch Formula 1 with DH. The whole Alonso/Hamilton thing is great! It's better than and a soap opera.

OH, yeah.. with 5 kids in many different sports you would ask a difficult question for me..

Let's see... one my kids if not more than one at one time or another have played soccer, football, cross country, track, basketball, travel soccer, travel basketball......marching band (that is a sport!)

Let's see.. right now..
DD and DS11 just finished cross country season yesterday..
DS11 will finish his travel soccer Nov. 4th.. to begin immediately the following weekend travel basketball...
DsS12 will start his MS basketball provided he makes the team (don't see an issue with that...)
DD13 will try out for the MS girls basketball team the end of Nov.. w/ practices during the holidays..
DsS16 is trying out for JV HS basketball...
DS7 will play basketball the first of the year...

Now, on TV... I love to watch MLS Soccer.. or college soccer men or womens..
Don't call my house during March Madness unless you don't mind listening to the Mommy Coach in this house!!! Yes, I do go out and work w/ my kids so I don't just coach from the sidelines.. LOL

I will watch NFL on occassion but can do without it...but I will watch my college football!!!!! :)

OH, and the Olympics.. I will watch it regardless of what it is.. I really like learning more about the countries involved and the athletes and what they sacrifice to be on the teams...

:)

Ok, off to the next sporting event in our household.. DsS's last football game.. camera is ready because he asked for a paper bag album of his season.. and as a good mommy would do.. I'm making it! :)

Have a great evening.. they are waiting in the van! Gotta move!

we're VOLS fans

I'll try not to hold that against you! :scared1: ;)

Like Nancy's house, our house stops for March madness. We are HUGE UConn womens basketball fans. We have been known to plan vacations around big games on MLK Day. This year we got together with friends who are also big fans while we were in FL.

The only reason why we won't watch a game on tv (here in CT they show almost every game on our local public television station if it isn't on ESPN or a major network) is if we are going to the game.

If I were to pick the sport I most enjoy watching my daughter or niece participate in, it would be horseriding and competing at horse shows. Auntie always french braids DN hair for her competitions. :)

I voted other, for NONE. I can't stand watching any sporting events. I went to a Super Bowl party one year (it was the year of Nipplegate - was that the year the Pats won - I don't even know.) I spent the whole second half reading the books on the hostesses' shelf in sheer boredom.

we are non sports people in this house also. i do like to watch gymnastics, ice skating and swimming when the olympics are on. but that's about it. and my dh is into cars so anything to do with cars. nascar, formula one, indy 500, drag racing and that sort of stuff. oh and we also like to watch worlds strongest man. some of the stuff the do is so cool. i guess for being non sporty i'm watching an awful lot of sports!!!!!;)
