I thought I read on another thread here on the DIS that at WDW, the tours are not daily, but are only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Can someone set me straight on this. I was thinking daily, seven days a week, as it was at DL. Now I am worried! My whole schedule would have to be reworked! pirate:

Thanks so much!!
The tours at WDW are only offered Tues & Thurs so I'm glad that DL offered them daily since I'll be there only over the weekend... :teeth:
This is the post that has me worried. I would appreciate verification from anyone else in the know! :flower:

(Thanks, lovethattink, you've given me hope!)

When we were at WDW last week, we had our pick of tours - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday (we weren't going to be there for Tuesday...). We went on a Sunday afternoon. So I would venture to say that that poster was misinformed.

On another note, have FUN Deba!! I didn't realize you were leaving so soon! Only one more week for you! I am SOOOOO jealous! :)

Thanks, Kimberly. I was getting a little nervous. One of my daughters will only be with us for part of the time, and if were limited to Thursday (she won't be there Tuesday), our schedule would have needed some serious realignment.

At DL you can only schedule a tour the day of (i.e., you schedule Wednesday's tour first thing Wednesday morning, and not before). Is it the same at WDW, or can you schedule a day or two in advance? It almost sounds like you were presented with all of those days and were able to choose one. :confused3

Yes, we arrived at WDW on Thursday and went straight to the MK that afternoon. I then booked the tour for Sunday afternoon. So you can book ahead unless they have changed that since last week. Hope that helps!

Hmm... I was the one who wrote tuesdays and thursdays. We went there on Sept 3rd~10th and they gave me option for tuesday or thursday. Maybe those are the only times with open slots and made me think that they only have them on those days.

I apologize for the confusion.

Oh, no problem, Cseca. Don't give it another thought! I would have thought the same thing. Just needed to find out before we had plans too set to change. My oldest daughter teaches in another state and can only be with us for three days, and I wanted to make sure that she was included in all of the important stuff (and vmk is right up there on the list...lol)! :goodvibes

thanks deba...
just some FYI
The Quest stuff is at the Main street cinema. Once they check your answers they will give you the cards, bracelet, and a tour card. You can schedule your tour at the City Hall Guest Services.
The tour is pretty cool and they do start on time. Ours started a little earlier because everybody seems to be there already. So be there on time!!
Have fun and sorry again for confusing you.

So you can't just show up and go on the tour or sign up that morning? You have to do it days in advance? What if you are only going for 1 day?

Dianne

hi dianne,
you can't sign up for the tour unless you complete the quests (edit: or as I read on another post, find all 50 HMs and get a coupon) and turn them in at MS Cinema. They will then give you a card where you can use to sign up. My suggestion is to go early in the morning, get the quests answered and then go to city hall immediately.
Since they only do the tour twice a day it's better chance for you to try as early as possible.

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for the detailed hints, Cseca. We are getting anxious! When will you be going to DL? I was there two weeks ago and did the quests and the tour. We were fortunate to be one of the first to get the pirate's quest. (It's a long story how I managed these two Disney trips so close together. It's kind of like being on a desert for ages, and then when it rains, you need a boat!) :flower:

Hi deba,
I'll be going there next week... :teeth:
it's actually a work thing but I managed to convince my boss that I need to over a couple days to hit DL. :)
Everybody at work knows I'm a disney freak, so they're not suprised when I said that I won't be coming home with everybody hehe...
LOL!! I know what you mean... if I don't go at least once a year to WDW I get real restless... :rotfl: I'm glad you get to go to both places.
You'll love it.
If you have any specific questions on wdw let me know, be glad to help.
