Hello! This is my first post. I grew up in San Francisco, so my childhood consisted of yearly trips to Disneyland. I now live in Texas, and we're going to visit family in Arizona in a couple of weeks, and plan to take a side trip to Disneyland/California Adventure. I kind of thought that the week of President's Day (Tuesday and Wednesday) would be a good time to go, but now I am reading that it's crowded. Who would have thought? I thought most schools were just out for the Monday. Now I am kind of stressing because I really enjoy Disneyland when it's not crowded and usually plan our trips for those times. We will be taking our almost 3 year old and our 10 month old daughter and wanted the least stress as possible.
Is it just a little crowded? Really crowded?
Thanks!!

oh well....guess we'll have to show up first thing in the morning, take a break in the afternoon and come back at night, as well as use the FastPass.

Growing up, I had never heard of any schools getting all of President's week off- and I grew up in San Mateo County. Well, next year, we will have to plan for early February instead.

A lot of schools are off that week up here in Washington, too. We'll be down there for mid-winter break. I've been surprised at how quickly the hotels have filled up!

Had no problem getting a hotel....was still about to snag a great deal on Priceline, a 3 star hotel within a mile of the park for $50 a night.

I was looking at pretty specific hotels (Park Vue, BWPPI and the resort hotels) and they have sure filled up! I've had great luck with Priceline in the past!

Yeah, if you're pretty specific about hotels, priceline can be a gamble. We just wanted to be sure to get something decent, with a pool that was on the shuttle route, and not too far from the park. I figured the more we can save on the hotel the more fun money we could have for the parks.

Medium crowds. Go there expecting it to be quiet and you will be dissapointed. Go there expecting it to be packed and you will be pleased.

Good way of putting it. We're used to packed at the times of year we usually visit so found it pleasant last year when we were there Sat-Tues. A family from my son's school thought "off-season", no waits and came home a little disappointed and confused about how it was "so busy"; they were there Sun-Wed, so mostly the same days.

I have been there that week for years, it is really not that bad! Not like summer or holiday time at all!

Lately, when is DL NOT crowded.

We are thinking of doing on overnight trip and the resort hotels are the MOST on Wednesday night, which is usually the least packed, so no idea!

My Mom reminded me that one year we went during President's Day weekend, and it rained and the park was empty. We must have rode Splash Mountain 5 times in a row without getting off.

That is definitely a good idea...we will go expecting lines.

I'm near Sacramento and one of our big districts gets that week as well and I think possibly the other big might as well. I know my girls are off that week and that is why we are headed down. Good luck for both of us!! ;)

I know that OC schools are generally off on Friday before Presidents Day as well. We'll be there Wednesday afternoon (2/15) thru Friday, expecting crowds on Friday but hoping for the best the other 2 days.
