After people watching for a week I'm curious, do you prefer your shirt tucked or untucked and why?

I definitely prefer untucked because it's more comfortable and cooler.

Definitely untucked...I feel that otherwise is a fashion no-no for ladies. Of course, men should definitely wear their shirts tucked for more formal settings.

Untucked, because I hate my lower gut ;) I'm working on it, though; hopefully I'll feel better about tucking soon! :thumbsup2

Depends on the outfit. Some look best tucked in and others untucked--but I tend to gravitate more towards the untucked outfits (especially in summer).

I think it depends on what I'm wearing. Some shirts are meant to be tucked, some arent.

Untucked. One of my dd's has been trying to get her father to untuck his shirts for years. The other day we were going out to dinner and she didn't have to threaten not to go with him if he didn't untuck his shirt! I think he's finally learned. :rotfl:

Untucked, that part of my body needs no extra buldging

I miss tucking shirts in! I much prefer the variety - should I tuck with this outfit or not - than the "no tucking, ever" rule that seems to be in effect now!

Without tucking, I can't wear all my old oversized stuff without it looking really sloppy. I would love to be able to wear things and tuck them in for a smooth line. I'm actually going out today to buy new t-shirts etc. that are more snug. They tend to stretch out and then they make me look fatter than I am!

I also have discovered I'm sensitive to metal. I have a little rash on my belly where my pants button. I've fought that silly rash for the last few years. I never had this issue when I could tuck.

Try coating the back of the pants button with clear nail polish. I have heard it works for metal allergies to rings. You might need to recoat based on how it goes through the washer machine.

Depends on what I'm wearing, but most of the time I'm in the untucked group..:goodvibes

I'm a guy and I hate having shirts tucked in.
Of course, sometimes it's a necessity. Can't really get away with not tucking in when I'm wearing a suit to a wedding or job interview.
I work in a business casual atmosphere and I usually go with golf shirts because they look ok not tucked in.

Polos & most buttoned shirts, while at work/church/or somewhere fancy: tucked.

Otherwise, untucked.

Untucked. I hate having to tuck in shirts. It's JUST too hard to get everything smooth and feeling comfy.

untucked, I think that most shirts look rediculous when they are tucked in.

this...the worst is people who tuck t-shirts into shorts:eek: I just feel uncomfortable with a shirt tucked in and the only time DH tucks anything in is if he's wearing a suit. (though if he can get away with it he still wears buttoned shirts untucked with jeans or nice pants...)

Definitely untucked for me, but DH tucks, except for tee shirts. You males that are saying untucked, are you talking about dress shirts?

Always untucked personally. I hate that little "poof" you get when you tuck a shirt in. Very unflattering. I have to dress pretty nice for work (law office) and even when I wear button up shirts I go untucked but I think it still looks nice as the shirt fits close to my body (and always get compliments on how I dress).

I wear shirts made to be untucked. I have hips---I have flab and tucking stuff in makes me feel "nerdy" or "frumpy" b/c of how it looks. I also don't like the bunched fabric or the "baggy"'look that appears. I will tuck in a camisole as long as I can't see lumps through my bottoms

I am also nursing and that us one less step I have to deal with :).
