Hi all,

I'm trying to reserve some tube/floats for Castaway Cay (trip is 8/27), only to find out that they're complete booked?!? Even the reservation agent was shocked when he pulled it up on the screen. Is this common? Will CC have extras for walk-up rentals. Thanks.

I think that is strange too...I have been on three DCL cruises and there have always been plenty of floats. I would check once you get to CC. Have a fun trip!

I don't think that you'll have a problem getting them once you're there. There were millions of them.

I agree. I never would have thought of making reservations for these - they were everywhere so I think you are safe. Have fun - the floats are the BEST!;)

Here's what we did. I didn't want to pay to rent a float or tube so I bought a couple of inexpensive tubes at Long's for $1.99 each and put them in the suitcase. One of the best things about them was they were bright green and stood out. It was very easy to see my kids since all the rental tubes are clear. HTH

Thanks everyone. I feel much better now. We'll still bring a backup just incase. Boy... this suitcase is getting full, and I'm only packing kid's toys right now

Wow, wierd. They have plenty of floats..you should be able to walk up and get some, no problem.

Never heard of CC being booked on floats. We rented 4 and only used 2. They should have plenty left. Most people get one for each member of the family as we did and don't need them:)

Also don't pack too much, especially toys, My kids could only take what they could get into their carryons. Most of it was just for the flight in.
Oceaneer club has plenty to do and you won't be in the cabin much anyway.

Remember to take an extra bag or you'll end of buying one. This was the best advice I got off the boards. I made sure at least one suitcase was not stuffed and we packed a duffle bag. Came in handy when trying to figure out how to get all our souvenirs home.

How much does it cost to rent the tubes and/or floats?

If I remember correctly it was $6 per.

Are people using the tubes with the handles in the ocean? or is there a pool?
