I have read on on post a couple of months ago(can't find it now) that if you are going a certain direction (to Epcot or to MK) all you need is to transfer platforms from one monorail train to the other instead of going up and down the ramps.
What direction of travel allows you to transfer trains without using the ramps?

I know that between the "Resorts" monorail and the Epcot, you have to go down and then up ramps.

I am not sure, but I think that the exit sides of both the Epcot trains and the MK "Express" trains open to the same platofrm.

Transferring from the MK express line to the Epcot line requires no ramps, however, for all other transfers (Epcot to MK Express, Resort to Epcot, Resort to MK Express, etc) you will have to use the ramps.

(pardon the wonky diagram, but I hope it makes sense...)

Wonky or not, the whole thing becomes perfectly clear to me. A picture really is worth 1,000 words:D

:D Cute diagram.
We were surprised to find it worked like that when we went from MK express monorail to Epcot on our last trip. We were all prepared to go Down and right back Up again, but didn't have to.

Thanks for the information.

It took me a second glance at your 'wonky' diagram to figure out what you meant.
Makes pefect sence now.
