Hi all, I just wanted to introduce myself. My hubby and I have been trying for our first child for a year now. I've been charting my cycles and as far as I can tell things look normal. We are both 31 years old. I have my annual appt with my GYN in Sept so I'm going to talk to her at that time about the next step for fertility testing, which is a bummer because I really wanted my body to cooperate naturally, but so far it hasn't. But I have faith that I WILL have a baby when all is said and done! Part of me thinks that I need to wait on God's timing, so I'm a little conflicted about it all.

I do have a question for you ladies. I was taking 50 mg of B6 for a few months because I know it can lengthen your luteal phase. Mine was probably on the low end of normal (10 days or so) before taking B6. So, not only did the B6 seem to lengthen my luteal phase to 13 days, but it also seemed to regulate my cycle, as I seemed to ovulate on days 13 or 14. However, I wasn't under a doctor's care while taking it and I've read that you can get too much B6 and that can create some symptoms, such as numbness in hands and feet, nausea, etc. I think I was having some numbness and I also was getting sick around either ovulation or my period (flu-like symptoms).

So, this month I decided I would stop the B6 for my cycle and see what happened. So far I feel really good, but now it's cycle day 19 and I haven't ovulated yet! On cycle day 15 and 16, I had positive OPKs, and days 16 and 17 I had the most EWCM ever and we had great timing! But, my temperature is back down today and I'm frustrated with my body! And frankly my husband and I are tired! This process can really be frustrating.

Does anyone have any experience like this with B6? I'm thinking my cycle is off this month because my body was expecting whatever it got from the B6 and now its not getting it. I was just really praying this would be our month because I didn't want to have to take the next step with fertility testing, but my desire for a baby just keeps growing stronger.

I"m sorry this is so long and I thank you ladies for taking the time to read and "listen."

I had one good follicle, US tech said "one's all it takes."

Was reading up on the shot, Novarel, it says one of the (extremely rare) side effects is depression. Um, no, depression is a side effect of getting to the point where you have to use Novarel when apparently every woman who lets her boyfriend abuse her kids or leaves her kid in a car when it's 100 degrees out has no trouble conceiving at all. :(

Just checking in and hoping everyone is doing well.
I can't believe the summer is almost over : (

Sounds good, sending stickey vibes your way!

Thanks!

I'm doing okaay.... Went in for my pg. test today, waiting to hear the results. Should hear at 2 or so.

Any news? I hope you haven't posted because you've been too happy/busy, and not because you are sad. :( This entire process is just awful.

My progesterone was low...she said they prefer 20, but above four is considered to have ovulated, and I was about 10. So just...still waiting...always waiting.

Friday's test was positive, but a low positive. They then scheduled me for another one today. I got my . before it, and the test was negative.

I am so very sorry. I wish I could give you a hug or a glass of wine whichever would ease your pain & disappointment.
