The one in December is a placeholder for now. It may be dropped completely depending upon if I get a bfp. (No one can go with me in December...all busy.) And if it happens soon, I may be too far along anyway.

So, that's it for now. Waiting to go see our RE later this month. Got another dx bill. Thank goodness for payment plans.

Awesome on the trips! I have to admit, I'm inSANEly jealous. And I have to also say, I hope you DON'T get to go on that trip in December...if you catch my drift.

How are the fibroids?

I had a crazy AF. Huuurrrttttt sooooo baaadddd! But it's finally gone now again. I know this is tmi, but clumps came out the whole time. So that may not be a bad thing.

When we go see the RE this month, we will find out what she recommends.

I just keep having a feeling to get everything ready by sometime this summer. Hmmm...our anniversary is coming in June.

That's great news! I was so relieved when Mike's SA came back ok! Then we only had one person to work on, and although I know he would have moved on I feel better with it being my problem. It's just personal that way. You also have a plan which is great. Your plan may change but at least it's a beginning! Insurance drives us all crazy! Make sure you talk to the office administrators about your insurance plan. These ladies can really help you out!

Yes, I'm hoping my insurance covers at least a bit of this! Thanks for the tip about talking with the office administrators. Now that we're to the phase where there will be some expense other than copays, I'm sure that's important.

ead79 - Don't feel guilty or like this is your fault. And don't put that extra pressure on yourself for the 6mo of Clomid. Look at it like at least now you have a plan. Its such a double edge sword when you get test results back that are "normal" because we so desperately want to find something to fix this. I think its good news for you because that means it WILL happen some day.

Yes, you are right. I tend to put too much pressure on myself, and I shouldn't do that. Plus, if the Clomid does the trick, it won't matter about the 6 month max.

I know how you feel. My husband's SA came back normal, too. But they couldn't find anything wrong with ME either! I wish they had, because at least if something were "broken," it could be fixed maybe.

I still feel guilt, though. I feel the problem HAS to be with me because the man's role in getting pregnant is so simple... women are so much more complicated. I'm sure there's some part of me that isn't working!

Yes, the doctor's thought at this point is that I have PCOS. At least that's what my blood work shows. She said she didn't think an HSG was warranted with a hormone issue staring us in the face and no indications that the problem is the plumbing rather than the hormones. Of course, the hormones have a mind of their own!

I am in the same position as you. I am on my 4th cycle of clomid however this is the first cycle with injectibles as I switched doctors and went to an RE. I wish I would have started with the RE rather than with my OB/GYN as she just wanted to do clomid only which I did for 3 cycles and feel like it was a waste. The one thing I would recommend is going in for ultrasounds so they can check to see how big your follicles are growing and how many you have. That way you at least know things are working this first cycle and if you would need injectibles for your next cycles to help things along.

Yeah, I'm still praying through that process for myself. At this point, I want to give Clomid alone at least 1 or 2 cycles on its own before pursuing the RE route in an attempt to keep costs down. My OB-GYN also said that she can do IUIs in her office for less than an RE as well, so I've got to weigh the benefits of using her for less money or an RE for more. She's perfectly happy to give me the referral anytime I want it, which is good. I'll ask about the ultrasounds and injectables when I give the Clomid a shot.

Went to the Dr yesterday and saw the embies! Yep, I said embies! We have 2! I am currently 5 weeks. 5 weeks cause I believe they add 2 weeks from LMP. We have 12 weeks until we can tell people. Um I think that all the important people know as well as half Chicago! Sheesh!

So back to my laundry and googling to find out more nuggest to scare the bejeebus outta me!

Went to the Dr yesterday and saw the embies! Yep, I said embies! We have 2! I am currently 5 weeks. 5 weeks cause I believe they add 2 weeks from LMP. We have 12 weeks until we can tell people. Um I think that all the important people know as well as half Chicago! Sheesh!

So back to my laundry and googling to find out more nuggest to scare the bejeebus outta me!

For me: I went to the Dr yesterday....Dr didn't see much activity of follicles growing after 2 nights of follistim. I have to go back monday and then possibly tues or thurs.
Possible egg retrieval some time next weekend of all goes okay. I am SCARED TO DEATH! lol seriously I am so nervous about all this. I went for a massage today and have been doing accupuncture so I am hoping that helps relax me...

And for the ladies that have done progesterone shots....I WILL be needing your expertise. Obviously there is no way I will be able to give thse shots to myself but I am nervous about not getting it in the muscle. I read that you have to pull back on the syringe to see if there is blood...I am so nervous about these shots. Anyone have any suggestions? And how do you know where the muscle is, it seems so hard to tell. Thanks

Ask the nurse to draw a circle on your tush to mark the area you should get the injection. Also, freedom fertility has good videos online that show how to give the injections.

OK on the progesterone shots you should ask your nurse to mark your back where they should go, ALSO, go on youtube and search. They have alot of videos. What Mike did was he put his hand on my butt with the thumb in the middle and pinky by my hip. I believe he does the shots between the ring and the pinky finger. There is a box you can make but it's a good layout. Also don't forget to massage the area for about a minute before and a minute after and finally invest in a heating pad. The massaging and the heating pad helps the oil get absorbed into the muscle faster and easier.

Ive been doing these now for 5 weeks. I am going to order more tomorrow but I am also going to get a perscription for the suppositories. I have 3 more weeks at least on these and my butt is definately getting tender. No matter how "right" you do it, your going to have a little discomfort.

I did get nervous last night as I'm kinda (TMI Alert) binded right now, from the progesterone I think. I had wicked cramps last night and I know cause I've had it before and it's cause I haven't pooped right in a week! Mike is actually out buying me some HIGH FIBER prunes and OJ to get the system in check and I'm going to work on eating some salad and hope for the best

So ladies, I've got some good news and bad news.....



Good news: I got a POSITIVE this morning!!!!


Bad news : It wasn't a pregnancy positive.


Good news : It was positive for still having a good ovarian reserve. I've still got some good eggs per the test.

I'm glad things are still good but very frustrated that something just doesn't happen. AF arrived on Wed one day later than expected so of course I got my hopes up then dashed the next day.

Great news on having the test come back good on your ovarian reserve! It only takes one and we know it's there, I like your idea of a Valentine's baby.

I had my first (and hopefully LAST) IUI today. I don't know how I'm going to survive until 2/21 for my beta. Anyone want to fast forward the next 17 days for me?

I'm torn whether I want to do a HPT prior to the beta. 17dpIUI seems like a pretty long amount of time. I definitely want to test sooner, but I terrified that because of HcG trigger and booster injections I will get false positive. The last thing I want is to get a positive then not have one a few days later... Also afraid that it'll be a BFN, then going in for the beta will be a painful experience. I'm going to try to just wait it out... we'll see how it goes!

My plan was always to wait it out, but I always caved and ran to the drugstore. I didn't worry about the trigger shot after 10 days which was when the HPT parade would begin.
