TTC thread take 2

To all the mommie-to-be....when are you having your next ultrasounds? I can't wait to hear the updates!

We did our 3rd and final IUI yesterday. It was somewhat painful, which I hadn't experienced before. They said my uterus was tilted (they told me it moves during the month?) and it was harder to do the insemination. It took about 15 minutes, which seemed longer than before. Luckily, I planned to work from home afterwards and I ended up cramping a lot. So now, it's just the regular 2ww. We have an appointment with the RE next Wednesday to discuss our IVF protocol in the event this IUI doesn't work. She didn't seem to think it would, but we had to do it to appease the insurance so that they would approve IVF.

Now...onto the snow! Our office told us to leave early today. DH & I are planning to work from home tomorrow (although he is being stubborn and saying he might go in for a while ).

The bigger question is - E how are YOU feeling?


We are getting ready for snowmagedon around here - the news is crazy and making people crazy. We live in Michigan - it snows here. Now, it is more than we are used to, but do we really need the hype?

Doing well. Yesterday and this am I was a little peckish when I woke up. I brought mini saltenes with me in the car since we had an early morning meeting with one of Meg's teachers. Not sure if it was dinner last night or the dreaded am sickies but I think it's WAY to early for that. I go in on Friday for my U/S to check out the fetal sac(s) and find out how everyone is doing. Very nervous and excited at the same time! I'm also hoping and praying he tells me that I can discontinue the progesterone shots. My butt is uncomfortable and I'm falling for my heating pad. I think Mike is getting jealous!

Totally hear ya on that one My transfer was uncomfortable because I'm crooked on the inside. I'm thinkin of ya and hope all works out well!

The only IUI that worked for us was the one I had the most discomfort and cramping. So here's hoping this is the one for you.

Um ok I'm done with this snow thing! Sheesh it's not even the snow but the FREEZING temperatures that are getting me! Lake Shore Drive was shut down last night. It took me an hour and 45 for me to get home on the Kennedy. I am watching people from last night and a woman left at 2:30 PM and it took her 2 hours to get some place that should have taken her 20 mins!!! Mike is out snow blowing, which he loves, but the wind is kickin up something fierce and I'm not sure if the effort is futile or not. Thank GOD we were let out early yesterday is all I can say.

I'm over this storm too! Our poor dog keeps whimpering that he has to go outside, but as soon as we get him out there, he freaks out and tries to run back in. You can see how stressed his is by the whole thing, poor little guy!

DH and I are working from home today. I don't remember ever seeing a storm like this. It's incredible! The thundersnow was shocking last night! We live in Lake County and all roads have been closed here.

Oh and I do yoga too. My gym offers several classes a week and I usually go to the "stretch" yoga because my hamstrings are so tight! It seems to help, I used to rent DVDs from netflix or the library too.

I hope everyone is doing ok. I am watching the news and the snow looks crazy!

I have been feeling good, like nothing has changed still. I am going to consider that a blessing and I hope it stays that way. Just waiting patiently for my first appointment in a few weeks to hear from the doctor that this is real.

I hope everyone else is feeling good and doing good- I am thinking of you all and hoping for more BFPs this year!

LOL ladies! My mom just called and I have to share the story with you.....

She knows all of the details of our struggles and has been unbelievably supportive. Last night, she had a dream that DH and I had a baby boy and called to tell me. She told me that I was conceived during the great Chicago snowstorm of 1979 (really Mom, you had to tell me that?) and that we should keep tradition going and 'get busy' because she had a good feeling about this month. LOL, she cracks me up! She knows we did the IUI on Monday but said that a little bit of back up action couldn't hurt.

I'm hoping to try my first yoga DVD today. I had requested a few from the library but with the snowstorm, I won't be getting there anytime soon. Instead, I downloaded 'Body by Bethenny' on iTunes. It had good reviews and I hope it will be worthwhile. I may try it this afternoon and will report back.

girls....I'm embarking on a new money-making journey. I used to be a consultant for ahem, "those" type of products, the "fun" kind...a while back. I haven't done it in a long while, but I decided to sign up again and try to make some more money to put towards our IVF. I figure DH has been working 2 jobs for so long, it's about time I contribute to the income some more.

And it's February, with Valentine's day coming up I figured it was the PERFECT time. I should have my web page up for ordering sometime within the next couple days (hopefully tonight) so if anyone wants the URL I can PM you. Please once I get it up, I would love if y'all would pass it on to your friends too!

I survived Snowmageddon 2011!
I was freaking out because our street wasn't plowed until an hour ago. I have a u/s tomorrow morning (rescheduled from today), and an IUI hopefully in the next few days! I didn't want to miss my O due to the blizzard. Thought we were just gonna have to stay in and BD!
