TTC thread take 2

Hi Meagan! :thumbsup2

I have fibroids and a lot the same issues as you, so I know what you're going through. We've been ttc off and on for over a year. Hugs to you.

Team Cher!

Oh, I'm so happy I could cry! I took my blood sugar this morning. (My mom has an extra meter and she lets me use it). It was.............................

93!!!!!!!!! :woohoo::cool1::dance3: Awesome! That is about perfect! The scale today said 10 pounds lighter too! That means 10 pounds an dtwo dress sizes down, plus my blood sugar is back to normal!!!!! :yay:

WHat amde me cry is that I plan to keep this up so it will never happen again. It made me weepy thinking that I did this to help my future kids....I love them and they're not even conceived yet! Is that weird?

Girls, I am back from my appointment. Everything looked good! No cysts, etc. They were just waiting on my bloodwork and then once the Dr is able to review it all, I'll get the call to confirm my start tonight!! The nurse seemed confident that there would be no b/w issues.

I can't believe this day is finally here!

Hello all! :cool1:

Not sure why I never thought about posting in the TTC forum on my beloved DIS!
DH and I have been TTC for 7 months now. I seriously never thought that I would be trying still after 7 months! I feel like as little girls we are so brainwashed to believe "if you have sex- you will get pregnant", and when that doesn't happen it's a big ***!
We just started using OPKs last month on the recommendation of my Dr. I have 3 family members that all got preg. the first month on Clomid, and I have this nagging feeling that that's what I'm gonna need too, but gotta wait till we hit the 1 yr mark first. Hopefully these OPKs will work for us, I'm worried that since it didn't work the first month, what's gonna be different about this month..... just gotta keep a positive attitude! (It's so hard though!)
My SIL and good friend are both preg now (and at the point they are starting to show), and it really sucks to still be TTC! Glad to know there are other people out there in the same boat as me! :)

Hey everyone, sorry that it has been awhile! We did meet with my RE and discussed our post-clomid options. We have decided to go ahead and try what they are calling a hybrid. We will start with Femera and them go to Gonal F injections and finish with an ovidrel injection.

I was thrilled to find out my insurance will cover 60%, but our Rx coverage doesn't cover any of the meds. I did find a good price for them online and ordered them today. I will go next week for the injection instructions and the following week AF should start and so will we.

Welcome Joanne and Meagan!

Cherbear - how's it going?

that hybrid cycle sounds interesting and cool! I hope it does something great for you! (getting pregnant might be nice eh? ;) )

Hope AF comes on time and you get to start asap!

It's good!! I have an appointment tomorrow at 11:30 (central), it's my first appointment to check how the injects are going! Only been on them for 2 days but at SUCH a high dose. Hopefully we will see a lot of follies on the ultrasound!!

welcome Joanne!! Sounds like you have a plan set ahead. I hope your stay here is short. :goodvibes

Welcome Joanne! I totally hear you about feeling lied to as a teenager, haha- I wish someone had told me that it can be REALLY HARD to get pregnant too. I also understand the feeling of "why is this month any different." Apparently there is nothing wrong with me or my DH...so if it's not working now...? But trying to stay positive!

I hope the meds are going well Cherbear- and good luck with your new meds/plan MommaSnowWhite, I hope this is just what your body needs to make it work :yay:

Crossing my fingers for all of you. I can't believe it's September 1st, this year is really flying.

Well, my dx has discovered the problem.....

In lamens terms, my body thinks it's a guy. No, seriously. LOL. :rotfl2: I make too many male hormones. My dx is putting me on metformin to regulate my AF and male hormone level.

Oh, and I'm insulin resistant. (My body doesn';t make enough insulin) Just like mom. That's another reason she put me on metformin so I won't develop diabetes.

The fibroid has grown slightly and I'm having yet another ultrasound Oct. 19 to see what's going on in htere. I go back to see her March 1 to decide what to do.

She said the meds will make me drop weight just like that and it has been known to help in ttc, so she told me we could go on ahead with it.

I feel better about it now. I'm going to stay on the diet and keep taking my blood sugar. I'm going to take up an excersize class too. I have so much energy!!!! :worship:

Gabbie

Thanks for all the welcoming messages ladies!

Started testing with OPK again this morning. Hopefully we'll have some baby dust land on us the next few days! :rotfl:

I can't believe it's September! Where did summer go?

Welcome!:goodvibes

Keep trying the OPKs! They are so helpful with at realizing where you are at in your cycle. If you rely on ovultaion calendars to mark off your dates they are using a set formula. They can give you a relative idea when things are going to happen for you but the OPK's can really narrow it down for you.

It is hard to be around/see pregnant people. Being where I/we are on our journey does give you perspective on what it "may" have taken to get there. I had to deal with being at my parent's beach club over 4th of July just after I found out about my AMH results! Talk about brutal! At least I got to, and this is going to sound really bad I know, have a few beers & vodka cranberries to dull my sences a little bit. :rolleyes1

So glad you found us and we hope we can help / comfort but really hope you're not here to long!:thumbsup2

Hey there Momma! Sounds very cool about the hybrid option. If you can find a link that talks more about it I'd love to read it. There is a place to find firtility drugs for sale at http://www.topix.com/forum/health/infertility/T2A9QPGVVKH3ABQ8J/p48 definately check it out. I just found it recently!
