My wife has a hard time walking and we will rent an ECV when we get to the MK. Is there a drop off point at the TTC, so she could get a head start and make her way to the monorail while I park the car?

Hi and :welcome: to disABILITIES!

The way all of the parking lots are set up, you basically have to go all the way to the exit and then re-enter to park once you hav dropped a person off. Also the tram stops are generally closer to the gates that the drop-off areas.

If you are not going to be renting an ECV from off-property, you can explain the situation to the person directing traffic from the main lane to the parking rows; there are spaces (marked "reserved") right at the start of the row they can assign to you and that way you are right at the tram.

However, we would tend to suggest renting and ECV from off-site. I would suggest looking at the disABITIES FAQ if you have not yet done so. If you will have an ECV from off-site you can park in the medical parking at the front of the lot if you also have a handicap hang tag. Note you can easily get to the disABILITIES FAQ by following the link in my signature.

The monorail station entrance is very very very steep and there is a bit of walking from the tram drop off point or the parking lot drop off point. Even further is the disabled parking area. Any how she does it she will be walking blocks to get to the ECV rental place.

Outside sites will drop the ECV off at your hotel. This allows the guest to practice at the hotel, test the ECV features, and use the ECV to explore the hotel before going to parks. This also makes it easier for the guest and other party members who can load up the ECV with the guest's personal items and sometimes even add other peoples' items like cameras and water bottles to the ECV. I been there, done that long hike and wont do it again.

The ferry at the TTC is an easier walk than the monorail ramp BTW.

But can an ECV be used on the ferry?
::yes::
If you have an ECV with you, it doesn't really matter which you chose, the boat or the monorail.
if you are walking, the boat is a little bit farther, but at least it is flat. The monorail ramp is very steep.
