TTC and the WL question

I am wondering if there is a bus that runs from the TTC to the Wilderness Lodge.

Here's the facts first:

Our first night at WDW I've booked a PS for dinner at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. After dinner we plan to visit the Magic Kingdom until close (including FITS). We'll be staying at the AK Lodge. Also, we are driving, so we'll have our own car.

Now then, I know there are many ways to arrange for transportation between these three locations, and I'm trying to find the one that will work best for our family.

We could drive to the WL, but we would have to leave the resort parking lot within three hours, which means we'd have to drive over to the MK and park there after dinner. That's not a huge problem, so I'll call this option #1.

Another thing I considered was bussing to the MK, then taking the boat over to the WL, then after dinner boating back to the MK and bussing back "home" again at closing time. That would be option #2. The boys are big boat fans.

Now, since my ultimate question above asks "is there a bus that runs from the TTC to the WL, here is the option that goes along with the question:

Drive to the TTC, bus to the WL, boat to the MK and then mono or ferry back to the car. I really like that option the best, but the problem is I don't know if such a WL/TTC bus exists.

In addition to my primary question, I am definitely open to other suggestions on how to make this work efficiently.

One thing I want to add about option #2 is that this will be the first time to WDW for the kids, and I'd really prefer not to get all the way to the very gates of the MK on our first day, only to turn around and boat away to someplace else before we can go in. I'm sure you can understand my reluctance to put them through that.

Anyway, like I said, I'm open to ideas! :)

Wilderness Lodge & Fort Wilderness are the *ONLY* resorts with a bus to the TTC. The bus runs every 12 minutes on a fixed schedule until 2:00am. Travel time to WL is less than 5 minutes.

No, but there is a boat.

Or, you could take the TTC bus and then hop on the monorail.

WL does have direct buses to Epcot, Studios, AK/BB, and DTD/TL.

Tyler,

After reading your post I was hoping you could help me out...

I plan on visiting the end of this month and am taking my mobility impaired sister. I hope to have an electric scooter for her and would like to do the late show for the hoop-dee-doo (Sun. 7/27).

We are staying at the Boardwalk Villas and I'm not sure I will be able to get back that late!

My guess is that Disney would not leave me stranded but I'm just a little worried and if you could offer some guidance it would be much appreciated.

You mention the buses run late but what routes would I have to take to get back? Would I have to go to TTC and then transfer or could I get back to BWV directly or some other combination.

Thanks much.... fellow chip & dale fan.... (by the way... I am a Dale) : ))

thx, Dale:bounce:

NEVER go to the TTC for a resort bus... You won't find one.

TYPICALLY speaking, after the last Hoop Dee Doo show, DTD will send three buses to the Outpost Depot. Each bus will service a group of resorts directly. Talk to the drivers (the ones wearing purple pants) and they will direct you to where you should go.
