Our upcoming trip is going to be our first without park hoppers. We had to find a way to bring the budget down with our twins turning 3 this year and sadly that was the first thing to go.

My dilemma is this leaves us with only one day for HS. We can of course get a FP for TSM but I would really love to ride it twice as it's one of our favorite rides. Last trip we tried rope drop but were at the back of the crowd and the wait 10 minutes after opening was already 60 minutes.

I'm wondering what the waits for TSM are like during EMH. Is it better in the morning EMH vs. evening? As of now our HS day is not an EMH day but if it's worthwhile to use it we may be able to move things around a little.

TIA!

If you want JTA and 2 rounds on TSM on the same day, you should (a) book TSM FP for midday or so, (b) go immediately (with the JTA enrollees) to JTA at park open and sign up for a time not conflicting with the TSM FP, and (c) go directly to TSM afterwards to ride it standby. If the standby wait is not short enough for you, return within 15-30 minutes of park close and try again. It is difficult to compare wait times at park open and park close--both are likely near the shortest you'll see all day.
