TSA Straps

Please help - what are TSA straps?

Do I need them?

If so, why and where do i get them?

(I apologise - we are very new to this and keep asking lots of silly questions)

TSA strap and locks are special locking devices that allow security to open your luggage to check it. In the USA you are now not allowed to lock your suitcases with other locks. Security over there, has the right to check the contents of your luggage and if you lock your case any other way, and they just happen to randomly pick your case for a security check, they will just force your case open.

You can also get them from homebase (my branch has quite a large range), and larger supermarkets.
