Travelers may call TSA Cares toll free at 1-855-787-2227 prior to traveling
with questions about screening policies, procedures and what to expect at
the security checkpoint. Travelers who are deaf or hard of hearing can use
a relay service to contact TSA Cares or can e-mail TSA-ContactCenter@dhs.gov.
The hours of operation for the TSA Cares helpline are Monday through Friday
9 a.m. - 9 p.m. EST, excluding federal holidays. After hours, travelers can
find information about traveling with disabilities and medical needs on
TSA's website at:
http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/disabilityandmedicalneeds/

When a passenger with a disability or medical condition calls TSA Cares, a
representative will provide assistance, either with information about
screening that is relevant to the passenger's specific disability or
medical condition, or the passenger may be referred to disability experts
at TSA. TSA recommends that passengers call approximately 72 hours ahead of
travel so that TSA Cares has the opportunity to coordinate checkpoint
support with a TSA Customer Service Manager located at the airport when
necessary. :yay::yay::yay:

Thanks for the information. When I get a chance after the holidays, I will add this to the information in the disABILITIES FAQs thread. Some of it was there, but not all.

I flew home from orlando Friday night and I have to say the TSA crew that night was the nicest I have seen. They had some one in line answering questions and giving tips on how to go quicker which was good because some of the tips was thinks everyone dose but dose not think about. Like make sure your bag makes it through the X-ray before going through the metal detectors because the person behind you will just watch it and back up the line. The guy in line was even joking with kids and adults about foot ball like if you had giants stuff on you would be getting extra security as a joke. Their was a kid with a stuffed goofy so he talked about Disney and asked him if he saw tiger and he said yes so the agent said cool. All the kids who went through the detectors the other agent would smile and give them a high five. They would do what Disney dose and for little girls they would call them princess their was one traveling by her self and was nervous but the agents made sure she got through okay. They distracted them by giving them high fives and and other things so about time the realized they was going through security they was finished. I saw 2 people go through to scanners took less then a min put your hands up and that it they was making sure they was comfortable. They was busy but they made the line move and answered any question any one had. Their was alady in front of us who got separated from her kids but they was older so he open the decider and said he didn't want anyone to get separated so she was able to join them. She also told him she didn't like the scanners which he dash he not the one who choose. But if she gets chosen she can opt out for a pat down which she knew and was fine with. So he went on the ask her daughters where their from they said pa so he asked your not eagle fans which they said no they was panther fans so they joked about it. So if you get a good crew you should not have a problem I never had a problem out of Orlando they even said they know other airports don't make you take your belts off but Orlando dose so they was admitting other airports have their faults. Not sure if it was because of the holidays but all the agent at my check point was laughing and smiling the TSA agent even told us she like or bags and that what she asked for x max we had verra bradly bags. So in the end not all TSA agents are bad most care and I glad they put a number to call because it hard to know exactly what you expect if you don't fly that much their be at leat a person to talk to.
