TSA and stroller

I can't help you, but maybe the disabilities board would get you more responces.

I don't have any experience with the type of stroller you have but the stroller I have, its a side by side double stroller, will not fit through the scanners either.

In Los Angeles they took it around and hand searched it and ran something over it on a wand. (Don't you love my technical terms!!). I assume it was checking for some residue.

We had no trouble with it but I would say it did take a bit longer for them to hand search, so maybe do alone yourself a little extra.

Tell them it is essentially a wheelchair, and they will treat it as one. If the child can stand and walk through the scanner for a few moments they will take it through separately and hand-scan it; same situation if you can carry him through. If he must stay in the stroller, they will do the security routine the same as they do for people who cannot get up out of a wheelchair; they will have you roll him and the chair through and then pat him down while they hand-check the chair.

PS: The site you linked says that the folded dimensions are 18" x 27.5" x 32.2". I've put bagged carseats through that are about that depth and width; it would probably fit through if the scanner does not have a carryon sizer template on it, and most do not. If your child can walk or be carried through the gate, then folding it and putting it through the scanner is the quickest option.
