TSA and state ID ?

Has anyone used a MA ID card instead of a license at Logan/MCO airports. I recently surrendered my license due to a medical condition.

Too many newer circumstances, I just want to make sure we don't run into any issues at the airports, between ID's and wheelchair. Seems our family gets pulled for the random security search anyway, I don't need any extra issues.

Any state-issued photo ID should be accepted as readily as a driver's license, but as with many things related to airport security much can depend on the whim of individual screeners.

Thanks. I'll try not to worry. But, Massachusetts is famous for changing license/id styles. I'm just wondering if anyone has actually gotten thru with one, or been pulled aside because of one.

OT - I worked in the liquor industry for years, and I think MA changes their licenses about every 6months - 1yr. Seems like we were constantly being trained in how to identify a fake ID. I don't know if it's due to the quantity of colleges in the area or what, but boy was it hard to keep up. Not to long ago there were 3 different styles of MA licenses all legit cirulating at the same time! Plus add MA ID's and MA liquor ID's. I cann't imagine what it's like for the airport to stay up to date on all the different types of ID's.

Honestly I would not worry -- just think of the many people in larger cities who do not even have driver's licenses. They use state issued IDs.

Though we're from Maryland, my sister has a state ID card since she doesn't drive. She's never had a problem with it. It's state issued, so it is the same as a license. You shouldn't have a problem.
